The only problem I can see is how some fans will react if we do get Klopp or Ancelotti and they do not immediately pick up results. The manager, whoever it ends up being, will have to work with a squad assembled with seemingly little to no planning & zero input from said individual. I hope we do get top 4 but I see it as very unlikely and I hope some fans are prepared for that eventuality because the timing as has been pointed out is somewhat off. Mike Gordon needs to answer some serious questions as to why this wasn't done sooner.

I agree that top 4 is very unlikely. Too many mediocre players right now for top 4. We shouldn't expect big things. He needs time to shape this team. He needs time.

I think most of us would be happy with the team building a clearly identity and showing some passion on the pitch, looking dangerous against the top sides again (as opposed to consistently getting mugged) and team selection based on merit and people playing in position.

If we get that right and we can close the season strongly (even if not top 4), I'll be more than happy.

It will take some time for the coach to learn the players, and for the team to adapt to a new approach, we should recognise the greater objective and give a few months grace.

I wouldn't right top 4 off just yet lads, Reason being,
1. the league table is all over the place with random results,

2. Any new manager that comes in instantly gets a positive reaction and don't be surprised to see us win our next 8 games even its then after that amount of games roughly it gets a little tougher and that will then decide top 4, Understand this isn't his squad but can definitely still be achieved

Top4 should be prerequisite for Klopp, otherwise we should wait for ancelotti. We are liverpool and nothing but top4 for klopp!

I'm afraid of exactly that happening! Don't get me wrong, if we get Carlo or Klopp I'll be over the moon but I'm worried about there being too much expectancy from us fans too soon!
