Hi ed's,

Probably not something you want to answer, but generally speaking when it comes to shirt sales, do clubs just earn what they get paid in the contract?

United fans telling me they'll make a shed load off Zlatan shirts which I'm sure is wrong.

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - generally they get the merchants cut off what is sold in the club's official stores, plus whatever the amount the manufacturers pay for the privilege of making the shirt. There are ways to earn extra money off a player, for instance when AS Roma signed Hidetoshi Nakata they released a line of limited edition polo shirts. Their sales alone paid for the transfer fee.}

So what your saying is ed, sign higuain and release a polo shirt to pay for the £70m transfer fee ;)

{Ed001's Note - oh god, now you will have people believing it!}

Similar thing said about Madrid buying Beckham years ago. It's said they made the outlay back in a day! Mental.

We missed a trick not releasing a Mario Balotelli Jock Strap made for the wearing on your head; could have paid for his flight to Milan!

We should have released a Mario Balotelli firework range as the sales could have paid our UEFA fines.
