Hi Ed 02, what impact will the latest result to leave european referendum have on Premier League as a whole?

Regards!

{Ed002's Note - It is not actually clear what would happen in the long term but there will certainly not be any overnight change. The eventual position will likely be a need for work permits and residence permits. In terms of existing EU citizens already working in the UK, there is no plan but I would think an amnesty would be the likely decision followed by a quota system of some type. Just so people are clear the home nations have not left UEFA.}

A possible and maybe likely future is that we agree free movement of labour as part of our access to the single market. If that was the case then nothing would change.

We don't leave for like another 2 years, we don't start negotioating are exit until October. We have asked to leave with the vote but still a lot of logistics.

We will be in charge of our immigration policy now so can set it and have to see what happens. We will still be able to buy elite players but the good thing is we womt be able to wash out our academies with too many buys and someone like. markovoc couldn't of come in and took the likes of ibes palce. We will only spend our money on the best talent and will have to use our youth.

Sure we might lose out on some good talents but we should start now injecting millions into our acsdemies, getting the best cosches and scours and prepare for what could come in x many years.

This summer for example I don't think zielinksi would be able to join but branno then gets a chance. So is it the worst thing.

@ muscat red - seems very unlikely to me given the free movement of labour within the EU was what the entire leave campaign was built on i. e. they don't want it because all those foreigners will come here. It would be a stupendous turnaround if they agreed to that and I suspect many of the brexiteers would be far from happy.

Ao potenially, it will be hard to lure any kids from other country? Do you think its going to be good thing for League?

Seano, prepare for people to be unhappy then. The leave campaign made no secret that they wanted access to the single market and used Norway as their example. The cost of this access for Norway is free movement of labour (think John Arne Riise not needing a work permit) and the acceptance of EU regulations.

With apologies to the eds for being political on the football page the irony is that we will still end up following EU law and regulations without getting a say in any of it. So much for 'taking back control'.

They will not gain access to the single market without allowing free movement of labour and, if they do that, they are going against everything their brexit campaign was based on (i. e. hatred and fear of foreigners and immigrants) - i'm not saying they wouldn't be bold enough to do that, I'm simply saying i'd be disgusted if they did as their win would have been on the back of lies (which it sort of was anyway) . They'll also need to pay a handsome figure to be apart of the single market yet out of the EU - it is miles away from the perfect situation and will take years to thrash out.
