Away from the whole transfer world eds, are you looking forward to our new main stand opening?

I think it'll be brilliant! Especially on night games, flood lights lit up etc.

{Ed002's Note - It will be safe and functional - but it will never be an attractive stadium as there are too many constraints of location etc..}

Attractive doesn't always mean great atmosphere or success on the pitch either. I like that we are building onto our historic Anfield ground for now instead of building a new one.
Take the Emirates for example, Arden fans still haven't made it their own yet. An attractive stadium but their best days were in the old Highbury.

{Ed002's Note - A very good example. My experience is that fans always have a soft spot for the stadium they grew up with.}

Yeh I agree, new stadiums lack the passion and emotion old stadiums have. I actually like the fact none of the stands are identical, personally I think it shows Liverpools development over the years, can't wait to see it.

Some would say that the Mona Lisa is not classically beautiful.

For me Anfield Is simply wonderful and on European nights there is no where better on planet Earth.

Cheap, given how much the taxpayer has put into the stadium. It's a disgrace really, just shows what having a cheerleader for the government on the Board gets you.

Looks ace, stands proud high in liverpool skyline from my side of the river. Can't wait to see it open, the old stadiums are the best. Closely packed in and he can hear the crowd loud in all its glory.

Ed, Anfield is one of the most famous stadiums in the world, of course it's attractive ;)
