With all this high intensity fitness sessions, and double/ triple training sessions [assuming this is from our new fitness coaches], do you think this is going to have a positive effect on both our injury record and pure intensity levels in games.

With having a larger squad to rotate hopefully this means we won't have a few players either burn out a little or just get injured.

I know there was a lot of talk previously over the fitness levels being the issue with why so many people got injured.

It would be just to allow them to play the high tempo football that the coach likes. It would be far more damaging to play the style of football desired without a fantastic band of fitness, that would result in more and worse types of injuries. Training is sometimes designed to be harder than games itself (not always the case) but enables the player to be well equipped for the game.

Pretty sure that Ed001 thinks that training should be much harder than it is for most current footballers and that more injuries are picked up the less fit you are.

Train em hard and make em super fit and then let them showcase their skills and football intelligence and blow sides away.
