Ed 001 what do you think of andre Gomes? Never seen him personally but I trust your opinion.

{Ed001's Note - I have only seen him a couple of times, but he did not impress in the slightest. From what I have seen I would see him as a negative and they should pay us extra to take him off their hands. Like I said though, I have not seen him a lot, so it could just be that I saw him at a bad time. However what I saw was bloody awful. I mean shockingly bad. He looked like an uncoordinated teenager learning to kick a ball for the first time.}

Trust me Ed001, I saw him play too a bunch of times and he was appalling. Not good enough for us. If we were in the Championship then maybe. Playing style reminds me of Can but without the work rate and strength to boss the midfield. Would struggle to make the matchday squad for us considering we have 5 midfielders all better than him including Grujic.
So many options out there that would be better replacements for Coutinho like Ante Coric, Kovacic. Not sure why the club would even consider any of Barca's castoffs in a makeweight deal for our best player. Stinks of a small club mentality on LFC's part if they allow Barcelona to get a favourable deal out of us yet again.
Either put up 120-130 million pounds on the table or shut up and look elsewhere. Should be a loud and clear message by FSG to Barca.

And it would be a even bigger mistake to take bang average players anywhere near LFC. Hopefully past lessons have been learnt and a decent midfielder actually signs.

We would be kill two birds with one stone for Barcelona selling cout to them and taking a player off them. If he decided to go then just take the money. No favours.

Exactly Longthing76. Barcelona mugged us off big time by paying much less that what Mascherano and Suarez were worth. They are back with their cheap tricks of not only taking our best player but also offering players they are struggling to offload. If they have the money, why lowball? LFC is not their feeder club and we need to stand up and make it clear we want every penny of what we think Couts is worth. Their cast offs wouldn't even make our matchday squad so what's the point of making ourselves look like fools by letting Barcelona dictate the terms of the transfer?
Yes, Coutinho wants to go and he will probably get his wish but on LFC's terms, not by Barcelona pushing us around yet again.

Barca fans tell me Andre Gomes is either really good or shockingly bad as ed1 must have witnessed! No in between with him apparently, definitely avoid.

What last lessons have we learned? Selling your star player in the 11th hour? Or going into a new season with the same old terrible defense?
We learned nothing why we are here sitting and throwing random names instead of one planned quality player. We have been nothing short of garbage!
