First time poster. Been loving this site for years so thank you eds and reds.

I wanted to give an alternative world (and support Ron on the positive side) to what most have decided is going to happen during this important transfer window (aren't they all? ) Please excuse my length - ahem!

We all know we needed to strengthen certain key areas so what if the below is what actually happens rather than all the endless guesswork mostly enabled by people wanting to increase their twitter followers:

Left back - Robertson, achieved
Winger (in addition to and in case Mane gets injured again) - Salah, achieved (I understand from eds that he may not have been first choice but he's a damn good third
choice IMO and will be a big hit this season)
Striker (in case of Sturridge, Ings etc injuries) - Solanke (unproven but looks a good reserve for Bobby or Danny), achieved
This is where it gets interesting.
Midfield (creative player needed to break down the teams who park buses like Manchester United) - Coutinho (please correct me if wrong but he is still a Liverpool player and I believe he will stay one more year Ps. He's so good in that role that Barcelona want him to replace Iniesta one of the best players ever in that position), achieved
Centre back - I know he hasn't joined (like counts hasn't left) but he is certain to leave saints for another team after that TR so if we stump up big cash I believe there is every chance he will join (though I understand our behaviour has been poor), possibly achieved

Plus some local lads coming through for some first team action.

Sounds promising doesn't it eds and reds!

I say bring on Saturday.

If we can keep a hold of couts, and add a CB not necessarily VVD I am very optimistic about our season. Even if we loose Couts I don't think its not the end of the world. Very excited about Salah, and if can keep hendo and studge fit for the season even without couts we are a very strong team, the squad depth may need to be addressed.
