How did BD defend why klopp was in charge I didn't watch them much so would be interested to know.

{Ed001's Note - he had Subotic and Hummels as a pair and they worked well together. It must be remembered he has not been able to sign the defender he targeted for us, whereas he got Subotic for them. Plus the Bundesliga is not the same intensity, so you are not really comparing like for like.}

It's a false compariso, Longthing. He created Hummels at BD and Subotic at Mainz before he took him to BD. Klopp is building something here BUT some of the things preventing more progress on the pitch is out of his control (Cou's saga, Lallana's injury, VVD issue) cos he knows where the issues are and is trying to fix them. As long as he knows what they are and is trying to fix them, I'm okay cos at least, he's not deluded.

if i recall right he also had bendar infront of his centre backs not the best player but a job player who knew his job and carried it out.

That is true, Insane. But he later tweaked it in 2011 with Sahin playing the DLP role where they won the league and Sahin was player of the year, and got his move to Real. There is no set way Klopp plays regarding the holding role as he has played with and w/ o one. Will he go back to it? Maybe as he played Can in the #6 role vs Burnley.
