Re Max Meyer being bought in to fill the role in the squad left by PC.

He's just a young lad. Meyer has no goals or assists all season.

He would have no more of an impact on the team than Woodburn, the young lad we are putting out on loan as he's not ready, along with Grujic.

Meyer isn't ready and shouldn't be seen as a repclament for PC. That's unfair on the young chap

Dani Ceballos would be a much more capable replacement in the midfield .

Just curious as to what would make Ceballos much more capable?

Meyer has been playing far deeper under Schalke's new boss, almost as a regista, which will undoubtedly have had an impact. He has considerably more experience than Ceballos.

While we're on Max Meyer, he reminds me of our similar past/ present (? ) target in Brandt. Can someone explain why ed002 always refers to Brandt as the 'marquee' signing we all want? He is just a kid with non-spectacular productive stats?
