Hi eds just thought I'd ask a serious question why is it that ed002 gets so much rubbish what is it that he actually does too merit this. Cos his replies seem fair to me. he handles imbeciles on a regular basis gives us the truth and doesn't sugar coat anything. So again I ask what merits the abuse? I for one appreciate all of you and the trolls need too do one pissing me off them ruining it for everyone sorry for the language eds.

{Ed025's Note - ED002 does a lot of editing mr brooks and gets the brunt of most the abuse because of his caustic wit and forthright views, hes not the only one mind as we all get it in the neck at times, he provides a lot of quality information for free on this site and yet the abuse still keeps coming, its mainly from people who dont want to know the truth or are keyboard warriors who dont have a clue how things in football work, if i told you the people who he meets and knows i dont think you would believe me as its a who,s who of football of sport and entertainment, he will walk for good though if it continues and that will be a massive loss to the site...as they say mate you dont know what you have till its gone..

It's disgusting. Why he gets abuse is beyond me, no wonder he kicks off at times, who wouldn't? People like redmersey obviously have no idea about respect and appreciation. I think the majority on the sites will appreciate Ed2 to the maximum but there always seems to be one idiot who is ok with ruining it for the rest of us.

Those of you who do this, please take on board Ed025 advice, we do not want to lose Ed002 under any circumstances please.

If you need to troll someone, go follow Donald Trump, he will give you plenty to complain about (and probably, some pretty bizarre responses) . Please leave this site to those that appreciate the Ed’s.

Please don’t forget Ed001 who created the site in the first place

To my mind on football matters Ed001 Ed002 and ed025 are a better bunch than all at the BBC Sly Sports CNN Fox ITV put together and I just don’t bother with the tabloid press rubbish

Love this site but really don’t like the thought of the Ed’s having to put up with abusive posts

Please don’t let the bad guys win and just remember how much the vast majority of us really appreciate the knowledge and insight you provide on this site.

It's just a reflection of the internet world. Most people conduct themselves in the correct manner. Other people think they can say anything because they are not face to face. Put them in a face to face conversation and they would be nice as pie. The internet brings out the worst, and the best. It would be a great shame if ED02 did leave!

Ed25, it was a good question, and 1 that I had been wondering about myself, I seldom post but have followed the site for a long time, it is pretty obvious that Ed02 is well connected, Knowledgeable, highly intelligent, and under valued by some posters on this site, for the majority I think they would agree that you are all highly respected and appreciated for all you do and for the wealth of information that you offer.
Thanks again and I hope you all continue to offer up the honest, and at times amusing and sarcastic replies that makes this site so good .

If you need anyone to help weed the trolls I’m sure there would be plenty of volunteers ed025. This site provides information you won’t find anywhere else so if you don’t appreciate the work then go and follow the metro and be none the wiser like everyone else.

Hopefully the trolls don’t drive any of the Ed’s away, even you ed025 as your one of the few good blues ;)

I just feel as ed002 is not just a decent person but an asset too the community on here. As you all are no ed is better than the other however I do see ed002 defending himself a lot of the time and for someone who is volunteering his time an knowledge something had got too change before he ups and walks out. Because it would be a huge loss.

Agree 100% Mr Brooks. I've been following this site since the Hodgson era (I think) and even though I can't claim to know him personally Ed2 is probably the most knowledgeable person I 'know'. He talks straight and doesn't sugar coat which is what the millenials and post-millennials need to deal with without getting their keyboards out. His music taste is also ace.
People won't like this but this is why we should have to pay a fee (subscription fee or nominal fee etc) for his info. We'd soon weed out the trolls.

And if you're in the business of giving the Eds hassle please leave this site and go back to caught offside or another fake news site.
