I taught myself how to spell Mkhitaryan the year we nearly signed him. Never again. What a waste of 4 weeks of my life.

Reminds me of when I spent a summer trying to spell Georgi Kinkladze and finding out it was pronounced as Mark Kennedy.

Glenn Hoddle is the biggest culprit.

Steven Gerrard is the biggest culprit for me, Fowler. Proper reds still don't know. It was so cringy on BT hearing Lampard, Ferdinand and Linekar get it right, but not Gerrard - the one guy of the four you might expect actually knows him. The O at the end is not the yuh sound, it's the H.
