Hi all. Long term reader but new poster. I see all the chat about Jude and a possible summer transfer. I'd just like to ask the eds 1 and 2 on their opinion about a possible transfer of his brother Jobe with Birmingham? . I know ed1 has high opinions of his future ability but would LFC have shown any interest in him especially as he is rated so well? . Thanks all.

{Ed001's Note - he has been watched by a number of clubs, including us, but he has not yet shown the same drive as his older brother to make people jump to sign him. He probably doesn't have the same need, the family has been set up for life by Jude's move to Dortmund, so I would expect, for all the ability he has, he is unlikely to have the same level of career as his brother.}

Reminds you of Eden Hazard and his 3 younger brothers; some of whom were said to be better skilled than him. They're nowhere to be seen.

{Ed001's Note - Thorgan, who was said to be the best of the Hazard brothers, just joined PSV on loan from Dortmund. He is 29 and has never made anything of his ability sadly.}

So the main difference is the financial security already having been achieved?
Seems a bit far fetched to me.

{Ed001's Note - right, I will bow to your extensive knowledge then.}

At which point was Thorgan said to be the best? I mean that genuinely and not in a condescending way as I remember back in the day we were linked to Eden under both Rafa and Hodgson so he was always regarded as a special talent. I don't remember Thorgan being talked about in the same way. Their own father even said that Eden was the better prospect. He even said Thorgan worked harder. Was it at a younger level? I would also add that Thorgan has had a relatively successful career playing for Monchengladbach, BVB as well as Belgium's best generation nearly 50 times so think it's harsh to say he didn't make anything of his ability. He's set for life in his own right.

{Ed001's Note - Eden always said in interviews that Thorgan was the best. Hardly harsh when every club has bombed you out because you are not trying hard enough. His father clearly saw something very few of his coaches ever did.}

Ed001, I haven't expressed any knowledge of the Bellinghams, the family's finances and the trajectory of their respective careers, though.
I questioned your reasoning, that's all. I apologise if that offended you.

{Ed001's Note - exactly, it was an ignorant response and treated as such. Not offended, just bored of people disputing something out of ignorance. It is not like you couldn't research the numerous talented players in any sport that have lost their drive due to a lack of financial necessity is it?}

One of the points of the forum is for ignorant people, such as myself, to learn from the less ignorant, such as yourself.

I'm not ignorant about talented players in any sport losing their drive due to a lack of financial necessity but we were discussing the Bellinghams. I am ignorant about the Bellinghams, I admit. Does that apply to the Bellinghams? You may have more knowledge about the Bellinghams than I do.
If you don't know, I will ask Google.

{Ed001's Note - you will need to ask Google to explain the word 'probably' in the first reply I made before you do that. Clearly your reading comprehension is a problem here.}

I think sometimes having a reputation as the better sibling hinders the player too. If you start to believe that hype you stop progressing at the same rate. Add in the finances as ed001 points out and stagnation is very likely. You see this in players that aren't related just hyped at a young age and they forget to compete expecting they'll just become better. Siblings especially, if you are always better then your brother at each step of the journey, then you believe you will be at the next one, but if you fail to put in the work then in the end your standards drop and you aren't the better player anymore.

I read and know what 'probably' means, Ed001.
How probable is it, though? What are you basing the probability on with regards the Bellinghams?
On second thoughts, ignore that. I know by your insults and apparent frustration that I'm pushing you too far, now ?.
Just a bit of light hearted banter on a banter forum ?.

Poor ed001 unable to refute simple opinion from Rigsby that force him to react that way

Hahaha probably ed001 is stupid dumbrubbish big head loser.

{Ed001's Note - wow, that told me. Such an intelligent, insightful post, thank you for that.}

The pressure of being the better sibling is always a weight on the shoulders.

For years my dad said I was a far better footballer than my sister but unfortunately I still didn’t make it.

Actually ED01, There is a third Hazard who plays in the Belgian league. Kylian Hazard was a youngster signed by Chelsea via the clout of his big bro Eden BUT didn't make it there so is now playing here in the second division in the Jupiler League. Apparently, not all Hazards are created equally.

{Ed001's Note - didn't Thorgan also get signed by Chelsea?}

Micky Hazard wasn't bad either.

Even if you look at caicedos recent social media post he mentioned having 9 siblings and hinting the move would allow him to provide financial security for them. It's a huge motivation for players to better their career and continue to push.

LFCSTE29 yeah but Caicedo was just using that in a manipulative way to try and force a move. Like being from an impoverished background justifies him being unprofessional and an ungrateful piece of work. If anything it should make him realise how good he has it now and be grateful to Brighton for giving him a fantastic opportunity.

I don't agree with it but just pointing our the motivation behind the move.
