Question for ED001. Who would be your current starting front 3?
For me it would be Diaz, Gakpo and Salah. I really like how Gakpo plays the false 9 position and provides the linkages in the attack. It would be a waste to play him in the midfield like how he did against Chelsea although he could still do a decent job there.

Secondly, I want to get your opinion on Ben Doak. He seems like a really promising prospect. Quick, strong, with a low center of gravity. What do you think his ceiling as a player is going to be (any good player comparisons? ), and do you foresee him breaking into the first team in the future?

{Ed001's Note - I am with you, the alternative would be Nunez. Jota would never start for me. Gakpo is not a midfielder and did not get involved enough in there.

Until Doak develops an end product he is going nowhere. Right now he is just a Scottish version of Adama Traore - causes havoc but then wastes it. If he can sort that then he can be a great player.}

Fingers crossed that he can develop his end product.

{Ed001's Note - I really hope they can sort out his end product as the rest of his game is so good. But end product is the most important part of an attackers game. No point him getting into good positions if he is just going to pass the ball to a defender.}

Plenty of time for Doak. He reminds of Jones before second half of last year - narrow vision and just one tracked mind to get on goal. It will come with time.

I think Doak and Jota need extra training on how to pass a ball.

Also Trent’s passing was awful for the last 75 minutes of the game. First 25 oh yes but we have far too many players turning up in bursts, when they feel like it.

Klopp needs to make some tough decisions and I am not sure he has the ability to solve the answers to the problems any more. He is trying the same thing over and over hoping it will get better. And it isn’t working.

Interesting re Doak.
I’ve a different take.
I think he’s getting his head up but sometimes doesn’t have much to hit.
Also in pre-season he was clearly desperate to make an impression so maybe his affected his decision making from time to time.
Obviously he will make the wrong choices from time to time as he’s 17 but he always has an impact.
Just hope he gets enough game time with salah being in front of him to develop.
My starting front 3 would be gakpo, Nunez, salah at the moment.

Good game yesterday I know it's a good close entertaining game when I can't watch last 5 mins draw was a fair result and how much do both teams need a dm.
