Ed001, what’s your early thoughts on Szoboszlai? Looks like an absolute steal at £60m! Everything about the lad looks special, his shooting, running with the ball, passing but what’s really impressed me is his work rate. A lot of players with his skill set tend to shirk the defensive work but he seems to be everywhere!

ED01, and many of us were pining for Jude at all costs whereas the right one for us in Szobo was there the whole time. Maybe the one you want at all costs, may not be the right fit for you at the end of the day. That is the biggest life lesson to be learned, IMO.

No he isn't humble. 6 games 5 goals for real madrid in league. 1 game 1 goal in champions league. Come on get realistic. Dom has all the makings of a really great footballer but don't pretend that Bellingham isn't serious top drawer at 20yrs of age.
Now you could say yeah but la liga is easier than prem and all that but he was captain of dortmund at 19 and best player they had.
And this isn't putting dom szob down because he's been excellent since he signed and long may it continue. And maybe 1 day Barcelona or real will come for him.

When Dom scored that ball was still rising as it hit the roof of the next. An incredible strike. He's such a clean striker of the ball, there's more of that to come.
Is Bellingham better? Who cares?
Both cracking players with room to improve.

For me, I think they might be on same level or a close call. Jude plays much closer to goal as affirmed by Ancelotti himself compared to Dom. That must be responsible for the goal returns. Anyways, who cares who is better? I just know I don't feel the disappointment I felt for losing out on Jude anymore because of Dom. O and Jude took to twitter/ X to hail Dom's goal last night with a rocket emoji. I love Dom as he's clearly the best midfielder Klopp have signed since he arrived here.

Magico1234, I did not bring up Jude to compare him with Szobo as players. Jude could be better than Szobo BUT that is not my point. My point is that Szobo was there the whole time and he is proving to be the exact player we needed from jump. Jude could have been that player to had we signed him BUT we will never know and frankly, Im not interested in discussing such a hypothetical situation. Szobo is here. He's boss. He's the right fit for us. Up Da Pool!

@Magico, the really important thing is that Jude wanted to go to Real Madrid, Dom wanted to come to Liverpool. They are both where they want to be and are both doing very well. There is no real downside.

I never ever thought Bellingham was joining us and that it was a waste of time mentioning him on these pages. For less than the total package to buy Bellingham we’ve got Szoboszlai and Mac Allister, which I think is better value. Szobo is clearly a very special footballer and it is nice to have midfielders who are a threat from 25/ 30 yards. You can’t park the bus against one of those shots.

I don’t think either of you can confidently say either is better than the other tbh. You can have opinion but you will likely never know if they would each make same impact in each others “team” “tactic and approach” “league”.

Dom has delivered early for Liverpool with his management and his team and in his chosen league.

Jude has delivered early for Madrid in with his management in his team within Spanish League.

To say any of those management teams leagues are equivalent we know is inaccurate.

Would either fans swap. If they want to gamble only!

You wouldn’t think it even a medium gamble for either because I expect them also both deliver in reverse scenario but in each case stick with what is being proven!

Mag. Doms a better midfielder than Jude. Sorry, agreed as a striker and goal scorer jude is pulling up trees right now but his attitude is atrocious. He thinks he is god and has a gift.

No coincidence the dortmund dressing room are glad to see the back of him.

Dom is humble and knows his talent is a gift.

Dom plays to get the best out of everyone. Jude wants everyone to play to get the best out of him.

Not a klopp mentality monster.

Klopp and jude wouldn't have got on.

I did read a newspaper article saying that Dortmund players were glad to see the back of him. Apparently he used to go around telling his team mates they were rubbish.
Reading between the lines I think this could have been misunderstood and rather that Bellingham has a winning mentality and tries to point out to others where they could improve, as a captain should.

Made up we didn't sign him. Really don't understand all the fuss myself. Also i don't understand the amount of love a real madrid player gets on here.

I'd suggest watch him more closely.

Personally Ed I never wanted him mate. didn't expect dom either but always felt we needed someone or something else for how klopp has us play.
