He has been our most consistent player and is having his best season ever. He is two goals shy of his highest goal scoring season at Southampton. With all the money coming into the game in five years he will probably be on the lower end of the earning scale.

Just by giving him a contract does not mean we still cannot sell him. Payet signed a lucrative deal at West Ham last January.

Most consistent player! He hasn't had a goal or an assist in over 5 weeks. Too say he is one of our consistent player's is way of the mark. He had not being anywhere near consistent since he signed. He is close to equaling his Southampton goal scoring record, so 9 goals a season is good enough for an attacking midfielder if he gets to 9.

One of our best players this season and we hear ' we should have sold him' and people moan about player loyalty! Who's is this more consistent player that you speak of, how much are his wages and what would he cost? Can you also guarentee he will be better than Lallana this season?

He has been easily the most consistent player, week in week out contributing defensively on a MASSIVE scale, and getting forward, compare him in midfield to Can and Wijnaldum his other box to box partners and he blows them out the water. He's opening up defenses, putting in great crosses, not surrendering posession, our successful press comes from him and bobby and pipco usually. £150K is a lot to offer, but he's undeniably been our best performer, even in our crap run of games. He can't be held reponsible for Karius, Migs, LovrenCans mistakes etc that have led to goals nor Bobby shocking time in front of it.
