Question for Ed002 if he's around.

Did we ever show/ express any interest in Jarrod Bowen when he signed for West Ham? Or did we have other transfer priorities at that time?

Bowen was looked at a couple of times when he was at Hull, thought to be an good option as a squad player if available at the right price.
Obviously he went to WH for what seemed an extortionate £17-20m.

Obviously as ?002 said, interest was never followed up at that price, but fair play to the lad, he has kept improving.

I remember after his first couple of games he dragged WH out of a few tricky situations which led to Moyes saying something like “if we are relying on a young lad from Hull to do the business for us then we’re in trouble”. To be honest I think he was their most reliable player last season.

Someone mentioned Kuyt in a previous post about him. I agree in that, while different kind of players, you’d never worry about seeing his name on the team sheet.

Problem is, he didn’t come cheap to WH and is now an England international - they’d want easy £50m+ for him and I don’t think it’ll ever happen, now.
