Hi Ed002,

If you have some time I would be grateful of a response. As there is some hysteria regarding Andre coming to Liverpool in January. I am struggling to see why we are not focusing on defensive reinforcements. Nevertheless and moving away from the complications on his ownership, do you know much about him and where do you see him fitting in at Liverpool as we seem to be well stocked now in midfield? He doesn't seem to be a natural/ standard DM.

{Ed002's Note - Andre Trindade (DM) Recommended to Liverpool as Fabinho cover a couple of years ago. Arsenal have scouted the player and may well make a move prior to the January Window. Prior interest of Barcelona and Braga has gone. Fulham are keen to take him if Bayern Munich return and they lose Palinha and Liverpool consider him as an option for January - but there is a huge catch for interested parties who have been told must be resolved. Fluminense only own 80% of his rights and that would need to be addressed. They will also seek perhaps €40M including add ons. I am not aware of any agreement between Liverpool and Fluminense just yet but there is the possibility of completing the transfer for January. Fluminense have a replacement lined up.

Andre is a DM player who is used to win the ball but he has the trait of being able to carry the ball forward himself and will fit in naturally where Fabinho played previously - leaving Endo a step further back and allowing Mac Allister to play further forward. There are other options for Liverpool but he is the preferred option and something can be done in January. Liverpool will almost certainly see Thiago leave in the summer. In terms of defence, Liverpool will continue to look for an additional CB whilst also looking to replace Salah.}

You can watch him tonight on BBC3 in the Copa final. Might give us some idea what he’s like. And you’ll only have to miss half an hour of Strictly too.

He was very very impressive. Excellent on the ball, read the game well, didn’t shirk a challenge and passing was immaculate. If we sign him then we’re sorted for a very long time with our midfielders.
