Let’s just take five minutes to laugh at Man United for defecating themselves in public 24 hours before their cup final.

ViktorVaughan

1.) 24 May 2024 21:27:57
Don’t they have toilets at Old Toilet?

2.) 24 May 2024 21:38:49
Probably broken hope9, everything else is at OT.

3.) 24 May 2024 22:49:27
LVG knew hew was gone going into a FA cup final now it seems ETH in the same boat. Think the next manager will want to avoid the competition.

4.) 24 May 2024 23:35:16
Absolute meme club.

I knew when Mr. Ferguson left that, from a Liverpool standpoint, it'd be good and there'd be laughs. But I didn't think they'd still be clowning around aimlessly eleven years later, whilst their stadium literally falls down around them.

They'll get Kieran McKenna in and once he loses a couple of games the players will throw him under the bus, like they did with Seven Hag, Rangnick, Solksjaer, Mourinho, Moyes and van Gaal, and half their fanbase will turn on him too. Rinse and repeat. Can't wait for the Mark Goldbridge vids telling everyone (for about the 5th time) that the club structure is to blame and not McKenna whilst his chat bays for blood.

5.) 25 May 2024 02:26:20
Thank heavens for FSG.

6.) 25 May 2024 07:23:28
If you fancy a cold shower head to old Trafford.

7.) 25 May 2024 10:52:01
Hey, let’s not laugh too hard as we enter a period of massive change for ourselves. Who knows what’s going to happen now Klopp has gone, I wouldn’t go laughing too hard just yet.

8.) 25 May 2024 14:17:15
It’s 11 - yes eleven - years since they last won the League - they have been a shambles for a good while now.

9.) 25 May 2024 14:40:10
We didn’t win it for 30 years.

“Winning four Premier League titles in succession is incredible. Never been done before. Congratulations to Pep and the team.
“It reminds me of when I won my seven Tour de France victories. The similarities of dominance are endless. ”
- Lance Armstrong on 115radio.

ViktorVaughan

1.) 18 May 2024 08:24:35
By hook or by crook ?.

2.) 18 May 2024 08:45:59
The only similarities are their cheating behaviors.

Also, nothing guaranteed just yet Lance. Unless you know something that we don't.

3.) 18 May 2024 09:21:20
Lance Armstrong a. k. a Doper in Chief or DIC is just calling things as he sees them. Ironically, the Abu Dhabi Group that bought City in 2008 was also named DIC. Ironic, indeed.

4.) 18 May 2024 09:50:31
And City could be on for seven in a row had it not been for Jürgen Klopp and his bow and arrow.

5.) 18 May 2024 10:35:58
Whenever Pep looks angry, I do always wonder if it’s roid rage.

6.) 18 May 2024 11:29:43
JLC, I think it’s gone over your head mate ?.

7.) 18 May 2024 12:20:34
There's some talk online of a fine of 350 million, which would get given and spread out amongst the EPL teams. LFC would presumably get around 17-18 million for the incovenience of losing 2 champions titles amongst other things. No mention of point deductions or title relinquishing.

Of course it's only online blabber, but it's a histerical joke anyway. So this is what you get when you cheat consistently for almost a decade.

{Ed002's Note - It is nonsense.}

8.) 18 May 2024 12:31:48
I imagined it was, Ed002. Thanks for clarifying.

9.) 18 May 2024 13:41:26
Nah, come on ArAy1969. You had to know that was a nothing burger, right? I also read online that there could be an out of court settlement btw both City and the PL. Now that one, took the biscuit for me. What a crock of crap!

At the end of the day, the hearing will happen and City will have their day in court and their chance to provide the evidence they have been telling us all these years that they, that will exonerate them of ALL charges. At that point, it will come down to the evidence and the facts hence, posturing and making boombastic statements in the public sphere will be over.

10.) 18 May 2024 15:24:05
The moment I read "nothing burger" Oli, I immediately thought of the old "where's the meat" ads. ?.

11.) 18 May 2024 17:54:28
(I meant "where's the beef")

12.) 19 May 2024 01:42:58
I'd sooner be humble in defeat rather than shout "cheat".
If it's ever proven that City cheated I'll be happy enough on the moral high ground and have forgotten all about the other two League titles and celebrations we could have had. Promise ?.
They could have had seven in a row and I did celebrate preventing that but out of respect to them I won't mention all my European Cup celebrations.

13.) 19 May 2024 10:06:44
Rigsby, I see what you did there in your last statement. That was some nasty stuff. Loved.

1.) 01 Oct 2023 09:42:18
Corruption you mean.

2.) 01 Oct 2023 10:00:53
I was hoping to be able to calm down after sleeping on it but if anything seeing the fallout has made me more angry. It really does make you wonder what’s the point if you’re playing against 12 every week. I’m really trying not to go on a massive rant….

3.) 01 Oct 2023 10:24:38
They’ve decided to cheat Liverpool out of the title race.

We could’ve gone top of the league with City playing Arsenal away next.

It’s over now, the whole thing is scripted. Fixed outcome.

4.) 01 Oct 2023 10:34:15
If it isn't corruption based then it's ineptitude on a scale that should have every Premier League manager demanding VAR should be scrapped or at least shelved until staff are able to use the technology properly.
As Bill Shankly used to say, football is a simple game. And now it's being spoiled by people who don't have the talent to be out there on the pitch themselves, but are grabbing the headlines for being utterly crap at the role they have in the game.
Every single week now, the headlines are VAR based.
VAR should be taken out of service until those that implement it can be proven to be competent and unbiased.
And let's face it, so far they have been an a miserable failure.

5.) 01 Oct 2023 10:47:16
I keep saying that VAR isn’t working and should be scrapped. I see the theory behind it but the execution is just woeful. There seems to be an error per game now at the very least. The cons outweigh the pros at the moment and it should be shelved until a better execution process is in place and trialled and agreed with the clubs.

6.) 01 Oct 2023 11:02:09
The VAR technology works fine, the problems are the people operating it and the processes they are/ aren't following.

7.) 01 Oct 2023 11:13:24
The pgmol shouldn't operate VAR a separate body needs to run it with their own people in the "bunker" no amount of human error could account for that offside decision yesterday.

8.) 01 Oct 2023 11:28:33
But now if you take var away and leave one of those incompetent refs and linesmen back in the lime light I imagine it be much worse.

9.) 01 Oct 2023 12:03:59
Yikes, OP. Tat looks really bad. How could anyone miss that? Even to the naked eye, it is clearly onside.

10.) 01 Oct 2023 12:06:28
Take away VAR, Jones doesn't get sent off, Diaz's goal is disallowed and Jota does get sent off. I could take that.
The biggest problem with VAR is that we are left talking about VAR again.
I never liked it for taking the spontaneity out of the game but to do that AND get things wrong is unforgivable.

Can we have our game back, please?

Yes Jensen you are the only one. Neither of them will ever play for us.

I’d be surprised if we made any effort for Olise, he’s literally said in interviews that he’s a huge Man United fan and wants to play for them, it would be a waste of time sending scouts to watch him let alone making a call to his agents. No point going for players who really don’t want to play for us.

Made of crisps and flatters to deceive is being generous. If ever there was a player made for Spurs.

Not sure why we’d waste our time talking to either of them, I can’t see either wanting to join us, Yoro evidently only wants Madrid and Calafiori will only either want to stay in Italy, or play for a London based team or Man City. If Frankfurt have already told Madrid that Pacho is not for sale we’d be delusional to think we’ll get a different answer.

It’s hardly a subjective dislike. It’s objective fact that Barcelona spend money badly on mediocre players then desperately try to get shot of them when they realise how poor they are. See also, Coutinho, Dembele, De Jong et al. Raphinha is the latest in a very long line of poor signings who they over paid for and are on huge wages.

Raphinha is, at best, a very mediocre footballer who Barcelona paid over the odds for. Wingers like him are ten a penny. Why should we make the same mistake for a player who will turn 28 this year and would make zero meaningful impact. He’s nowhere near good enough to be a starter and he's not an upgrade on Diaz or in fact anyone already here, people mention Diaz end product, well Raphinha is worse. Add to that he’s lazy, one paced and only turns up if and when he feels like. He wanted to go to Barca, they were silly enough to over pay, let Barcelona enjoy their stupidity.

Two points. Well done to the English Refs for getting into the Euros and making it all about them. They’ve done nothing to enhance their reputation. As for the pundits, male or female, both ITV and BBC really have scraped the bottom of the barrel with the likes of Micah Richards, Danny Mills et al. Quite frankly you’d be better off turning the sound off and playing Alan Partridge’s World Cup 94 countdown on repeat as listen to them.

I think there is a perception of Gomez being injury prone as he’s had four very serious long term injuries in his career, but over the last three seasons he has been ok. The only question mark for me is on his defensive ability as he has a mistake in him and isn’t particularly great in the air. Konate is injury prone. That is pretty clear. Personally don’t see the point in pursuing Yoro, by all accounts he’s made it clear that he only wants Madrid and is happy to wait for that. Another Bellingham/ Tchoumeni only destined to end in him not joining us. We should look at a left sided defender like Inacio who is attainable and would allow us to rest Van Dijk as he’s not getting any younger.

Slot gets the ethos of the club. He didn’t need to be asked twice. We picked well.

Laimer is injury prone and he didn’t want to join us as he wanted to stay in Germany. We didn’t miss out there.

MK, the stats don’t match your assertion that Trent made the most tackles, or won the most aerial challenges. Whoscored showed that he won no tackles and won one aerial, he did make the most key passes which suggests to me that he’s not defensive midfielder material but better out wide. He’s Beckham without the PR machine behind him. Very good out wide, a bit suspect in the middle. To me he’s never going to make a great centre midfielder but he could become one of the greatest right backs since Cafu if he worked hard in that position.
