Just wondering Eds - how many more do you expect to arrive now?

3 confirmed in Ings, Milner and Bogdan - and from what you say, a 4th in Kovacic (however messy the deal. )

My worry - and I'm sure with many others is that we are going to end up with 8/9/10 coming in again

I know there is "dead wood" to be shifted, but squads to bring success can't be bringing in that many players season after season - surely?

Or is this what you mean by bulldozing their way to success?

{Ed001's Note - I do expect a couple more deals this summer, a lot depends on outs now, so it is difficult to be sure.}

So. add Origi to that and we could be heading for 8 players.

I long for the summers day on Sky Sports News where it only says 2 or 3 players in!! Ha!!

Thanks for all your on-going insight ED's - The Kovacic deal in particular, whatever it is. The silence over the particulars really does keep me on the: "I don't want to know" side!

Cheers.

The term dead wood is a terrible term. The players are just trying to do their job, at best you should criticize the people who bought them.

Some things needs to be resolved or else we will keep on being a team in transition.

True - I see your point on the terminology.

Personally, I'd only like to see 2 or 3 go and 2 or 3 come in.

We just never seem to be able to do that or be in that position - for whatever reason

Only 2 more are really needed IMO - a striker and a right back.

{Ed001's Note - why do we need a right back? Surely a keeper and defensive midfielder are much bigger holes in the squad?}

Agree with Ag here. As much i'd want lucas is going and Rodgers is never going to use a defensive midfielder. So i guess kovacic to replace ro3it is them. Obviously everyone realizes that we need a striker. As for a rb well McLaughlin is hugely injury prone and wisdom o don't quite rate tbh. So get aubamayeng and clyne sell sterling balo borini lambo etc and I'd actually be optimistic for the new season

Based on the interest in Clyne, Byram and Trippier, I would think the club are looking to bring in a RB. And clearly, they are also trying to bring in a striker. That's why I think a striker and a right back will come in, ED001. No interest has been shown in a defensive midfielder, and Bogdan has already joined, so I can't see them being viable.

{Ed001's Note - you said needed mate.}

ed no chance we could do some sort of swap deal between lucas and gary medel?

{Ed001's Note - no. We would have to want to sign Medel for there to be any chance.}

So I did. Apologies ED001.

{Ed001's Note - no worries mate.}

There are other RB`s out there that are defensively better than Clyne. In fact to me, Wisdom is better defensively than Clyne and is very good on the ball as well. Mac I`m afraid, has lost his chanceClyne plays in a system where he is always attacking and defends poorly. Sound familiar? Give wisdom a chance instead of signing another RB for stupid money, again. I would also like to add that we need another top striker because Ings and Origi ain`t going to give you the goals you need and Studge is one sprint away from pulling something.
