If you read Souness'scbook he states he had a number of issues. Those players he used to go out on the lash with he now had to manage. Having been in Italy were they were much more professional and trained twice a day he came to Liverpool who trained once didn't look after their diet and in his view were light years behind the Italians he faced mounting resistance from players and everything fell apart.

The Souness appointment was a true disaster and IMO, triggered our fall from grace and cost us decades cos the screw ups just kept happening esp with Rick Parry around.

This should serve as a lesson to us for when Klopp finally goes cos the appointment of his replacement if not well handled coil set us back years and years.

Definitely right about picking the right man after Klopp.

Souness taking the money from a certain paper that many of our fans have boycotted over its lies and then trying to claim he didn’t know about the boycott was what I find unforgivable. Ok he give the money to charity but still.
