I'm thoroughly depressed after sitting through that. Soft in the tackle, zero pace (until Rio came on), constantly passing to the other team, just terrible in so many ways. Four minutes to go and our players are passing it backwards to each other in the right-back area.

I have no faith in this Manager or Coaching staff anymore. The team look so unfit, right across the board. Awful. Awful. Awful.

I was there today. Thoroughly depressing. Unfortunate that Ekitike was taken out (no decision from the poor ref), but tbh both teams got what they deserved... Didn't understand subs, but our bench compared with Brighton looks sparse... Depressing.

Our squad's not that great, but can get by in the early Euro rounds when the opposition is mediocre. Straight back to struggling in the Prem.

It was a false dawn last year, unfortunately, we need a top-down overhaul in the summer, and probably the next few windows as well. Poor leadership on and off the pitch.

Top down overhaul is a bit harsh. Szobo, Macca, Jones entering prime, full backs are renewed, we got Rio, and fwds Eki, Isaak..... Elliot will return, Giovanni Leoni will return.

Let us forget talking about the adequacy of the squad for now. It would have made sense to do so if we had fallen a few points short of the title. Drawing against Spurs at home, who had a million players missing, were hovering around the relegation zone, and were playing horribly recently, and yet ended up dominating us for large parts of the game at Anfield shows just how awful the tactics have been.

It is madness to see players playing out of position pretty much game in, game out. I wonder if Arne had been given the squad Jurgen took over and asked him to manage a full season with it, we could have probably got relegated, me thinks.

Curtis Jones (again, not trying to single him out) was ambling to get the ball for a throw-in in the 90th minute when we were trailing 2-1, and that says everything there is to say about Arne and this team. James Milner, even now, was winning pretty much every battle on the pitch.

This coach has sucked all the joy out of football! And I am scared about the mayhem that awaits us at PSG, given that we have an FA Cup clash at City only a few days before that. It could get really embarrassing.

You'd have to say that if Millie or even Hendo were still here, I don't think they'd stand for the lack of intensity. Having said that, I'd almost guarantee that that is what they are being coached.

@Babbity Rabbity, totally agree. Too many gullible fans with blinkers on, that's what it is. I told my mate that the result against Gala doesn't mean we have turned a corner. It was obvious that they just played ?. It was a very open game, and they left themselves way too open. So we only looked good because they were that poor, not because we were outstanding. Let's be honest, if that had been a better team like City or Arsenal, they would have battered us. We can all kiss Champions League football next season goodbye.

I have been saying for months that Slot needs to go, and now the club have left it too late to do anything about it. If Slot stays beyond this season, then the owners clearly don't give two hoots about the club, because no one in their right mind would think that Slot is the man to get us through this. I am that disgusted by the football he has got us playing that I actually don't care when we are playing. I'd rather be happy and not watch the game than just be peed off, rather than watching this dross.

Could someone explain to me why Slot persevere with this diamond formation, the players seem confused what to do when we are out of possession and the fullbacks press further up the pitch than the midfielders.

Ed's, I would love your opinions on this.

Other than Dom, there is no passion or desire to win. Even home grown like Jones, watched him lose the ball a few times then just give up and walk.

And our bench. Wow, is this the weakest bench in the league. Only possibly Rio would scare any opposition tired legs.

Jones is an absolute waste of a shirt. Hopeless in and out of possession. The fact he comes out with nonsense about "smashing" into opponents, when he does absolutely nothing on the pitch.

First time post here but have followed for the last 10 years.

That, for me, was an unacceptable performance. Yet again. For most of this season, we haven’t created clear cut goal scoring opportunities. This game was another example of that, with our goal coming from Dunk’s mistake.

Management change needs to happen now. The football is boring, our shape is all over the place and the results are not up to Liverpool standard. Look at how reinvigorated United are with Carrick. Chelski are much better under Rosenoir. At this stage, there is nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Slot has lost the dressing room, the players do not buy into his tactics or style of play. I think he lost most of the fans a while back. Why remain with him?

Let’s face it, Galatasary were dreadful. The players played the old way, the ‘Klopp’ way perhaps with heart and energy, however I feel that’s coming more from the players than being influenced by the manager. Today’s performance is a reminder that this season has been dreadful with glimpses of hope, but nothing more than a glimpse.

I think that the reason why we play much better in the Champions League is because the pace of the game is much slower.
Once we play a Premier game, we can't compete. Nearly every team outruns us, and has a midfielder who gets Man of the Match with his work rate and non-stop action.


We have macca and Jones, enough said.
Szob at right back is a big mistake.
Thursday night football is coming.
But at least we should win that one.
