Eds any substance in the Strootman rumours?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest being shown by Liverpool and I only hear rumours here, but Roma are looking to raise funds and have a number of players they will listen to offers for - and certainly Strootman is one. He has kept fit for the past couple of years after a tough time. So we will see. Roma has a couple of targets but they can do little until they have funds in hand and after flying close to serious FFP problems in the past couple of years need to be careful They have a prized asset they want to keep and have others like Strootman who could be a source of funding. For me, I would see it as an unusual option for Liverpool at this time of the year.}

Now this would be interesting, a double deal for Strootman and Allison! Migs going the other way permanently and a loan deal for a young midfielder.

There's something on twitter from (as far as I can see) an Italian site called Premiumsporthd. it.

From what Ed002 has said above, it is not impossible. However, Strootman would be cup-tied for the CL, and Roma are still in it.
