Is Caicedo on the table if both Hendo and Fab leave?

Do you think that could be about to change Ed? He’d surely be an ideal replacement, but presumably Chelsea’s interest could be too far down the line for us to intervene? Could Valverde become an option in your opinion? Thanks as always.

Much as the midfield is in need of being upgraded and refreshed and, in Mac Allister and Szoboszlai it looks we have made a good start, I can’t believe that there’s any way Henderson, Fabinho and Thiago will all be allowed to leave. Especially with other midfielders already having left. Too much rebuild too quickly if that is the case.

It’s funny seeing all the people who wanted Hendo and Fabinho out last season, now all of a sudden want them both to stay. Henderson was a great captain and won the lot but he was terrible last season.

I have no issues with Thiago, Hendo and Fabs all following Ox, Milly and Keita out the door. All 3 are getting on and it’s better to sell for what we can get now than wait until they go free or have no value and just have to spend similar, if not more money for immediate replacements then. Elliot and Jones were playing well towards the end of last last season, Baj is coming back to fitness and Mac and Dom will hopefully be solid additions. If we add Schuurs, Lavia and another midfielder I think we’ll be fine. If of course they all do go.

Agreed Westwood I’d also throw Doak into the mix, the senior statesman you’ve just mentioned will only be in the way of youth development, it’s time to move them on and like you say for the last couple of seasons that’s all most fans have been begging for, personally I’d keep Fabinho, he’s had a bad season but who didn’t! However a 40 million pound bid for a 29 year old is an absolute no brainier and I can’t believe the flack Henderson is getting ??, to get a pay day like that at 33 at the twilight of his career is insane, good luck to him.
