Newspaper report that we've bid for Valverde from Real Madrid. I don't believe it but what a signing that would be.

Would make the Szoboszlai signing a bit pointless. I think if Fab goes we need a DM like Lavia maybe and if Henderson goes we need a versatile player i like the idea of Llorente he can play as one of the 8s or fill in for Trent in that inverted RB role.

He would be an unbelievable signing. Only way he see it happening though is if Madrid need money for Mbappe. He is mates with Nunez though and if we sold Thiago, Hendo and Fab for about £60 that helps massively to fund the deal factoring in the wage saving of 3 players on around £200k a week to one player on maybe just above that. Stunning player though and so versatile. RW, AM, CM, DM etc.

Valverde is an great player and versatile so would gladly have him in our team although I don’t believe that we are in for him, that he would want to leave Madrid and that Madrid would even consider selling him. Tchouaméni However May become an option soon if Madrid pursue Mbappe, we were happy to match madrids fee when we were in for him last year so madrid could easily recoup that from us.

We need to understand that not all players fall over themselves to play for us.
We are not attractive to many, geographically, meteorologically, culturally or even LFC historically, no matter how good we think a player fits into our own personal puzzle board.

We, on the other hand, know we're the dogs bollocks and sometimes planets align with players. Especially ones we were not expecting at all.

Ed even with the mooted fees of 40 million for fabinho and 20 for Henderson along with the departures of possibly thiago matip tsimikas kehheler surely we still have no chance of signing an mbappe or valverde?

I have seen LFC stated as his current club status in Wikipedia in the last 3 days. Hmm.
