Everton will plod on like that.

A poor side.

Stevie looked a bit out of place and struggled at times.

Can stood out for me and our defence was yet again solid.

I think if Sakho makes those mistakes against a decent team we will be badly punished, time to play football and a time to just thump it up the field so we can regroup.

It was my intention not to post on this site anymore but I have been reading occasionally, but you Davey have forced me finally to reply to one of your nauseating posts, you are a grade 1 walnut whip Davey and you need to have those red tinted Liver Bird Istanbul Bob Paisley John Bishop Dancing Kopite glasses surgically removed. You are the type of head in the sand they can do know wrong fan, your putting a positive spin on a game we should have won at a canter, but yet again the manager jolly well messes up, who in there right mind would take Couthino off when Sturridge is coming on? The one player we have that can play a thread the eye of a needle pass to the one natural finisher we have at the club against an average team parking the bus!

Your covering your apse for the "you should be ashamed of yourselves" drivel you've been spouting.

When we don't make top 4 Davey ( because we won't, and it's Rodgers fault that we won't ) you will brush off your previous attacking of others posts and pull the "I support the team", cobblers, which will be a total cop out.

Posters who you have attacked have had every right to question the Manager, because of the complete balls up's he's orchestrated this season another example being tonight, and I take my hat off to them, they have the balls to question what's happened this season and for me they are real fans.

Bang on the money waro. Poor poor tactical substitutions, a manager unwilling to learn from his mistakes. Hellbent on a formation that offers limited penetration over defensive solidarity. Everton there for the taking and we faltered. Stumbled over the line across Bolton, flattering to decieve across the board. The wealth of talent is not to be sniffed at, still a lot to play for but Rogers and his tactical ineptness does not bode well. We will scrape points because we have players of quality, unfortunatly this will continue to mask the deficiencies in our system until it's too late.

Wish you would have maintained your oath of silence waro, this place was actually starting to be nice to visit again.

very well said waro , if we don't get top 4 its all rogers. Its killing me how we played today there was no intensity no desire to win. I saw the spur- arsenal game, and saw the way their midfield fought for every ball, saw the madrid derby now that's how you play a derby not how we played.
Everton was there for the taking but Rodgers and his stupidity screwed it up for us. Honestly I have no hope for this season, or any other season as long as rogders i with us

Excellent post Waro, This was a huge 2 points dropped, Everton were awful and we couldn't brake them down, BR has it in his head that we don't need a recognised striker on the pitch, If we did yesterday we would have won, if he didn't take off our only creative attacking midfielder we might have won, If he he had taken off Gerrard and pushed Can into a more attacking role we might of won, all overlooked.

{Ed001's Note - there were a lot of other things that let us down. Everton have been struggling since the second half of last season against teams that press them high up the pitch. So what happened to our high press? It was intermittent, lacked conviction and allowed them to play around it easily. Most of the times it was just 2 players doing the pressing, which is not the way to do a press, it requires at least 3 or it is easy to play round it.

Everton were completely lacking confidence, we were flying high, yet you wouldn't have known that watching the game. Only Ibe looked like he had real confidence, the rest looked nervous especially Allen, who looks completely bereft of any confidence.

They have two headless chickens in midfield that should have been forced to wear themselves out chasing the ball in midfield. Instead we kept the ball at the back, passing it around there while they were able to rest and let us pass ourselves into trouble.}
