Hi Ed's,

So many fans still believe that Milner is sub at best.

Now since he has taken no7 shirt and public addressing that he would be given chance to play in midfiled.

Do you believe that he is going to be the main man steering the ship and probably end up as captain.

I don't get this promise of playing him at centre midfield. Never seen him set the place alight in the middle of the park and he's never played there on a regular basis either. I hope Brendan knows what he's doing giving Milner those kind of assurances

I don't think BR had anything concrete in his mind giving the assurance. Milner is not a creative kid like Fabrigas or Carzola at Arsenal. Expecting Milner to dictate the game is pure gamble.

Milner had a very good season playing in central midfield in his last season for villa which is presumably why city paid 20million plus for him
