I am really confused when I read all the posts relating to Rogers and his supposed relationship and treatment of various players and I do believe he has treated some players very badly. What I can't understand is Steve Gerrards reported support for Rogers, and I am not sure it genuine.I feel that maybe stevie won't criticise him because of the fall out from this with the supporters going ballistic and causing real problems in and around the club,or maybe he is saying nothing bad because one day he wants to return to the club.I would be interested to know if anyone has any other ideas

Because Steven is a model professional. Now if it was Roy Keane working under Brendan.

I think Stevie has stated that Evans, Houllier, Rafa, Kenny and Rodgers were "the best manager I've played for" at various different points in his career. He's probably said it about his England managers as well. So I'd take what he says to the press about managers with a pinch of salt. And that goes for all footballers.

Wait for an updated autobiography a couple of years after he retires from football.

It's also quite possible that Stevie and Rodgers never had a problem with each other, but that doesn't mean Rodgers doesn't mishandle other players.

I don't remember Gerrard having a bad opinion on any Liverpool FC players or members.

Being politically correct doesn't mean he's telling the truth.

Think steven got the best treatment he could get. Brendan Rolf him hi was not going to be a first team starter, and Gerrard decided that he wanted to leave . You can't both criticise Brendan for not being honest with player like ilori and Lucas about playing time, and then criticise that he was honest with Gerrard.
