Gutted with the result like everyone else but enjoyed watching our team play for the first time in months.
Thought Chirivella, Stewart and Ilori were fantastic.
Would love to know the opinion of other pool fans but I would be very happy with relying just on the kids next year.
Let's face it - we have a team worth 6-10 place niw but costing 100s if thousands in wages as well as making us all miserable .
I will argue that a team based around these kids (plus 2-3 experienced signings) is worth AT LEAST 6th - probably higher. And this on a fraction of the weekly wages, with the added enthusiasm of nurturing the kids and even making mone for the owners (perhaps ☺) . for a blue print just see where Spurs are now.
I would take this scenario gladly for next year. What do other folk think? Ed001 - agree?

{Ed001's Note - I have always been in favour of building a small squad that relies on youth to cover injuries and loss of form.}

I was really impressed with Stewart. I also thought the tackle on him was nasty. That could have been a leg breaker.

The challenge on Stewart was appalling, not even a card. Ref bottled that.

Really hope Stewart, Chirivella, Texiera and Smith have a big future at LFC. They are way more deserving of a first team place than some of our overpaid and clueless senior pros. These kids could save us a lot of money. We could easily move on the likes of Lallana, Milner, Allen, Enrique and Toure without requiring to replace them.

Exactly well said.
