I have to be honest I've given Sakho and in particular Lovren some real stick in the past but I hold my hands I was wrong. Their form of late has given us a great base to work from and seems to have given Migs more confidence too. Fair play to both of them they have really stepped up and look a quality, determined pairing at the back.

I agree they are looking better and have put some impressive displays recently however at times we have been shaky and vulnerable as we still find it hard to keep clean sheets (Southampton, Dortmund and Spurs. I'll leave Bournemouth off as the back four was not the first choice of players mention in the original post) . I don't want to sound all negative but I think we are a classy ball playing centre back short from being comfortable and more solid at the back even with the wing forwards bombing on. I miss the days of Hyypia controlling things and Carragher bossing the team and giving confidence to people around them. Summer transfer window is going to interesting to see how Klopp views the players and who stays.

Sorry but are you genuinely using the fact that the second best attacking duo in Europe broke through a couple of times, and the highest scoring team in the league scoring a wonder strike from a player with his back to goal, as a reason to dig at our CB's? Come on fella, you're trying awful hard to be overly negative here. And we conceded all 3 vs Soton when Lovren was taken off and Skrtel bought on.

I agree hjikle. Dortmunds front 3 are a class act and have shown they can score against anyone. Spurs looked like they could play for a week and not score against us until a worldy from Kane. There's a togetherness and determination about Lovren and Sakho that I haven't seen since Carra and Hyypia. They mean every tackle and invariably win their tackles. They've been brilliant for me and they deserve massive credit for coming through adversity to be a strong, solid partnership. Yes they have faults but so does everyone!
