Ed's. Just posted this as a reply and would be very interested in getting a debate on it.

The players Klopp bought in to Dortmund have had success and most have become better players under him. Kagawa, Lewdonoski, Hummels, Goetze. Aubameyang would be the stand out for me.
Looking at that and the improvements already made on a bloated squad. Firmino, Origi, Can and Lovren stand out at Liverpool. Do you invision a similar outcome eventually at Liverpool?
I don't expect every player we sign to be a superstar and some players will take time to adapt to the English game.

I hope us as fans will be patient with Klopp and the players he decides to bring in.

Of the 4 you mentioned, I think Origi and Can have the highest potential to become something special. Aside from footballing skills, what strikes me is their improving confidence and mental strength. I would add Grujic to the list of high hopes. We haven't seen him play yet, and he's still quite young, but once he fills out and toughens up, the sight of a 1.91 metre tall player in midfield (we haven't had that in a long long time), with clear ball handling skills and aerial ability, will be daunting for opposing players.

Imagine our potential team in 5 years! (age)

Karius (27); Chilwell (24), Gomez (23), Sule (24), Flanagan (27); Can (27), Grujic (25), Coric (25); Ojo (23), Origi (25), Ibe (25)

Could be one hell of a team!

I don't want to be negative but, in my opinion, I have seen nothing to suggest Can is going to become this world-beating midfielder. He has a big stature so true can impose himself physically on games however, after 2 seasons, he still looks poor on the ball, poor with his distribution and very bad with his positional sense. I don't see him as a long term answer and, out of the current squad, would have him behind Hendo, Lucas and Stewart in the pecking order. What has he done that makes fellow reds think he is going to be special? I'm not having a go at anyone's opinion here, just curious what they see in the lad as I have clearly missed it.

I can see Klopp potentially creating superstars out of at least two of Origi, Ojo, Grujic, Can, Firmino or Coutinho. All of these have a bit of X factor IMO, with possibly Matip and Karius in there too but haven't seen them myself.

In response to Seano, Can has definitely suffered when exposed at base of midfield and had his poorer games, but when alongside an experienced head like Hendo he's dominated with his strength, passing, ability to break up play. Villareal second leg was a great example where he set the tone for the match. I can personally see experience and coaching turning him into something really special.

Can is good but is still very raw despite what people say.

He needs to improve his intelligence, his passing range, and offer more in terms of goals and assits going forward. He uses his physique and confidence to great effect sometimes. Also needs to cut out the stupid challenges.

Can is really really lucky to get to learn at the cost of Liverpool.

Just imagine if another player had got the same number of opportunities.

I am not bashing him, but there must have been a reason why Bayern Munich or Leverkusen passed on the chance to sign him.

Good natural hair style though. Like it a lot.

i can see the good things Can brings to the game, and i have to disagree that he has no positional sense or he can do other things, all i know is he has all the atributed to become a top player for us, just because he is not ready made does not mean he is not good, some of his passing is very good and he has a few assists, our players are thought not to dive into tackles so you won't see him doing that, also that's why moreno and clyne don't dive into tackles to win the ball its not the liverpool way next season i think we will see Can become even better with the new signings we have got to protect the defence, i also think a lot of players started to tire at the end of the season because of the amount of games we played and they were not used to playing that many games in a season.

MK Scouser. By the time they come good teams will be fighting for 2 or 3 of the above mentioned's signatures. This how low we have gone.

Seano. I just think under the right management and the belief from the coaching team and the players around him he's going to become very good. The individual status of, Lampard, Scholes, Pirlo, Viera, Keane or Gerrard won't be reached by him. Lucas hasn't reached any of their standards and he is still a great servant for our club. He was shocking when he first arrived.

Can brings up his physicality which helps him to get past players and shrug them. His distribution is poor and often leave space behind them ( lack of brains when to go forward and when to sit back ) People doesn't understand discipline and what a Midfileder should be . Alonso and Gerrard are the best examples for both cases. Brilliant players on their positions equally poor when played out of their positions.

Our manager thinks Can is the one to sit deep.
