I don't have any issue with Phil wanting to go. It was sadly inevitable. It is the stuff most aspiring footballers dream of - plying their trade for Barcelona or Real. The issue that I do have is the timing. Phil has been courting Barcelona for over a year and it was about 4 weeks when substantial moves were made by Barcelona to bring him in, and Phil remained fairly silent. This subsequently brought the impression to many fans that he was going to give us another year. The fact that he has left it this late in the window to hand in a transfer request and really drive through the move is what really annoys me the most. It's on the eve of the season, limited time left to get a quality replacement and basically has left us in a really bad posistion. Hopefully, some sort of compromise is made between Phil and the club because if not I will have sadly lost some respect for someone who I really wish well and appreciate some of the top moments he's brought us.

Suarez ill only ever play 4 lfc in the prem!
I guarentee he's been 1 of the main players in taking him there.
I was only saying 2 my son he has been quiet lately about his love 4 liverpool fc the other day.
I no he was over in july cos they give another donation 2 arrowe park hospital witch they reguraly do 4 the maternity ward.
Witch hatsoff 2 them they have 4 ladt few years lucas and agger being regular funders.

The timing is down to Barcelona basically. They offered less than the club is prepared to accept and then made it clear to Coutinho he joins them now or never. the Neymar situation delayed some bits potentially but ultimately the only way his happens earlier is if they threw silly money at LFC. Let's be honest if the club had taken lower offers or hadn't said not for sale or he had put in a TR previously people on here would have been merrily putting the boot in. So how could it have been done earlier, without Barcelona throwing in lots of money, without it turning into a case of LFC and the player being ripped to shreds?
