Hey Ed's, considering the struggles at CB why has Joe Gomez not received another shot at the position?

I expect Gomez will get a shot at CB once Clyne is fit. I don't think Klopp wants to rely on TAA as his starting RB yet.

I honestly don’t think Gomez is ready to play CB yet, I think he’s better off playing at right back for this season at least.

Gerry, I disagree. Gomez is not the finished article yet BUT he is growing and learning in every game and I think with time, he will be a very good CB. He needs to be playing regularly to get more experience as he is only a kid and at that age, playing is more important than where you play cos that is the only way he will learn.

Was used as left and right back, gained experience then became a monster CB. that's the way sometimes if you're going to create a great CB.

Carra was a very accomplished footballer who could play midfield, full back and centre half at a high level,

This lead to him being frustrated at international level as the managers loved him in the squad as he could cover all them positions but not nail down one definite one for himself,

Gomez is 20yrs old and coming back from a major injury lay off. He is going to be a great player for us.
