I have a dilemma for you all. Since I put lights on my Xmas tree, Liverpool have not lost when I have switched them on during the game. Now everyone tells me it is time the Xmas tree comes down, as Xmas is over, but I have been refusing as it might change our luck. They all tell me it is a silly superstition and has no effect, which is clearly silly. So the dilemma is: which word should I use in front of 'off' to the next person who tells me to take down my tree?

I’d turn them on for City; if we beat them you’re stuck with it from now on 👍.

Xmas is coming in less than a year, so why do the extra work? Tell them you just plan in advance.

If we really don't lose while it's on, just buy a new home and leave the tree alone, I will be paying the electricity bills.

Superstitions are there for one reason and one reason only and that is to be reinforced. Leave the tree where it is!

If you want a work around you can remove the tree but keep the lights and hang them somewhere. Put them on a mantelpiece and turn them on when needed. Sorted.
