Embarrassing what Kane is doing to claim a goal off his own team mate. Imagine what must be going through Erikson's mind with Spurs officially backing Kane's blasphemous claim to that goal. Hope Eriksen puts Spurs in their place by forcing his way out this summer.
Absolutely selfish and petty on Kane's part.

{Ed0333's Note - I didn’t see the goal but he swore on his daughters life so give him the goal I say.

I doubt Eriksen will be too bothered if the goal is awarded to Kane. At most he will lose a few thousand quid (performance related bonus) for scoring the goal. Loose change to him.

But yeah I find it silly that Kane (as well as the club) is so desperate for him to win the Golden Boot race this season to the extent of making an appeal for that goal.

In the form that Salah is in, I don't see how Kane can catch up to Salah with so few games left.

{Ed0333's Note - yeh but he swore on his daughters life lol

Kane dug himself into a corner there mentioning his daughter. Expect memes to be made about that for years to come.
The footballer who swore on his daughter's life. Don't know who to feel sorry for:
1) Eriksen for providing for such a crappy team mate OR
2) The sweet innocent daughter for having such a douchebag for a father.

{Ed0333's Note - now I have to watch the goal FML...

my shoulder was closer to that ball than Kanes. surpised he hasn't tried to claim a few from the bench he is that desperate.

to quote him "it is what it is, the most important thing is we won the game". so why appeal it then harry?! actions speak louder than words.

Can't stand the lad to be honest. Good striker, seems like a complete bellend though.

He can learn something from Firmino.

I think he could quite easily have touched it, so as a forward he is entitled to appeal it if he thinks its his goal. I don't know how he can be called a "bellend" or how you "cant stand the lad". Do you know him personally? I think it says more about your personality than his in my opinion.

He is a striker. Of course, he wants to claim the goal. I'm surprised that people are attacking him for claiming it. It has nothing to do with Firmino being selfless or any other player.
It's Harry Kane. He wants the golden boot. He believes he scored the goal and that will draw him closer to Salah.
Anyone expecting him not to claim it probably doesn't know what it means to set a target and working to achieve it at all cost.

Eds has anything else like this happened before where a player thought it was his goal and days/ weeks later he was given it?

On this matter, I don't think it was his goal, there's no touch, that ball was going in when it came near Kane it didn't move in direction or anything it just carried on from Eriksons shot. Having said this, why would a player cause such a fuss about it if he didn't believe it was his? I think it's daft personally, it's all about the team he's been petty.

It's like my son having the last chocolate hobnob and me kicking off because it was mine. It's silly and although I don't know Kane, it just goes to show in my opinion what type of fella he is. Id be gutted if this happened between Salah and Firmino but they aren't that silly.

{Ed001's Note - strikers will claim goals years afterwards, you speak to any retired player and they will have some kind of similar story, but they usually just joke about it in the dressing room etc. Going to this extent just seems sad and desperate. It is such an irrelevant thing to my mind as it only matters if it changes the flight of the ball, which it clearly didn't. You would think he would be pleased for his team and team-mate, but there you go.}

Well said ed, what’s the point of re- appealing a panel that already evaluated it? I don’t know 1 person that’s seen the footage that would say it’s his goal! He said what is important is the win but appeal contradicts that. I can’t imagine Eriksen would be overly pleased about this childish behaviour. Like a 9 year old on a school yard.
