Great result last night with a lot of positives and a great confidence boost.
Ed 1 a question if you don't mind, my apologies if you have touched on this before.
What do you think has contributed to Salah's goal scoring feats since he joined the reds? He is prolific in both domestic and European games, and I may be wrong, but he wasn't purchased due to his consistency in front of goal season after season?

{Ed001's Note - because he has continued to work hard on his game and he is being used differently to the way he was before. So it is partly down to him getting better as a player and partly down to him being a position to get on the end of more shooting chances, or better shooting chances really rather than more.}

I still think salah is hugely underrated, especially by fans. when he goes he will be badly missed, his scoring is so consistent.

An in-form Salah is the most destructive player in football. He will go down as the best wide player in Premier League history, ahead of Ronaldo and way, way ahead of the likes of Giggs, Pires etc.

Spot on, ED. In addition to your comments. Two seasons ago, Salah was asked what had changed from the way he played at Roma and the way he plays for LFC and he said that the big difference was that he now plays (more so then and even now) much closer to goal than in his Roma days.

Spaletti (the Roma coach then) said he was not surprised about Mo's early success at LFC cos he played as a perfect foil for the then prolific Edin Dzeko (finished Serie A top scorer in Mo's last season at Roma) . Now, he continues to get better, improve his overall game and fitness levels (seems like a gym rat by all accounts) and Klopp continues to create new ways of getting him open and opportunities to score.

{Ed001's Note - he deserves his success as he has earnt it.}

What impresses me most about Salah is his incredible work rate. he's not just an attacking player. There was one moment when RBL turned over the ball and went on the attack and Mo ran almost the complete length of the pitch to get back to help our defence. That sort of commitment to the cause is priceless and it happens in most games he plays.
He is almost never injured and rarely subbed yet is constantly bursting his lungs for 90 minutes or more.
We all know he can find the onion bag when called upon but his energy levels and work rate seem to be less noticed.

I for one have always been a massive Mo fan, this might be down to me backing him for the Golden boot at 100/ 1 in his first season.
Before I backed him I checked his goal scoring stats.
After moving from Chelsea where he wasn't given a chance he went to Fiorentina and scored 6 in 16 then he went to Roma and scored 29 in 65.
So I figured that if he could score nearly one in two against Italian defences he could do pretty well in the EPL.
I also went to watch him at Anfield when TAA knocked one into the corner for him, as he ran past me a shouted "you aren't catching that Mo" but miraculously he did, and a previous poster has pointed out Mo is regularly helping out the defence on the edge of our box.
His goals per game ratio beat Torres Suarez and is the highest ever.
Super Player don't go anywhere Mo.
