Suppose you are qpr and have a player like remy with a buyout clause. It is deadline day and you are dreading an offer from a top 4 team. Can you just shut yr phones, fax, computers and refuse to meet anyone so that they can't ccommunicate their offer?
{Ed002's Note - Of course not.}

Ed002 does the player have a say when a buy back clause has been agreed between two clubs? What happens if the club wants to buy back the player but player does not want to return or personal terms cannot be agreed.
{Ed002's Note - "Buy back" clauses are pretty rare but can be inserted in to a contract. Putting aside some strange ones that Barcelona has used in the past, most contract terms of that nature are a simple clause which would offer a prior club first refusal on a player who is being sold once the club has been given an acceptable offer. So, an example. If Liverpool were to sell Raheem Sterling to Real Madrid for €27m plus the loan of Jese for a season, they could insert a clause which says they would like the opportunity to match any suitable offer when Sterling is later sold. This would generally be acceptable to all parties, and at a later date when Real Madrid are given an acceptable offer for the player, Liverpool and the player will be informed. If Liverpool decided to match that offer and Raheem agrees to a return, then the deal can go ahead. No player can be forced to move to a club that they don't wish to, so Raheem may opt to move elsewhere.}

Anybody know much about Southamptons new signings? Graziano pelle and dusan tadic are highly rated?
{Ed002's Note - Tadic was a player Liverpool were interested in.}

Apparently, we had Wilfried Bony on trial in 2007 but didn't offer him a contract.

I think there should be an incentive for doing well in the domestic cup competitions. Like winning the FA Cup should get you an extra 6 points in the league and the League cup an extra 3 points. Thoughts?
