Dear Eds,

First post here but have been a fascinated onlooker and reader of the posts for a few years.Sometimes it can drive you mad but it's addictive nevertheless.

Anyway, I saw an earlier post with a suggestion for a new song and it made me wonder how the songs originate. Obviously somebody writes the words to fit into a popular song, but how does the song then become adopted, learnt by the fans and finally implemented on match days?

It also made me get thinking about what song we could sing for Balotelli. I spent a little time and decided that a good choice would be Pharrell Williams "Happy".

I have a few lines that might work but maybe some of the other posters could add to it and see where we get to.

First lines:-

He's Brendan Rodgers' 45, he's Mario Balo-tell-I
Scores the goals for Liv-er-pool, and some for It-a-ly

Gives his money to the poor, he's Liverpool's Robin Hood,
When they asked him why, he said, I did it cause I could

Celebrated Bonny night, with everyone at his house,
As the kitchen set alight, he made a pan of scouse.

We're happy, happy, happy, happy with Mario Balo-tell-i

{Ed002's Note - Often though forums like this, often through idle afternoons at Anfield (of which there will have been many). I hope for Waro or another elderly warlord to chip in.}
