Hi Eds,

I was wondering if any of you have had the chance to see Harry Wilson in action and, as speculative as it may be, how you would compare his playing style and LFC's hopes for him.

Many thanks

Bryan {Ed001's Note - I have only seen him a couple of times, looked tricky and fast, but he was playing other kids and so he could have just been more physically advanced than them. I would want to watch him a lot more before I assessed him, as sometimes you miss the little things that make all the difference to a player being top class or otherwise. Especially at this age, as a slight physical advantage can make an average player look world class. Freddy Adu's whole reputation was built on that! LFC as a club rate him very highly though, hence why he got the Wales call up ahead of a number of other options Wales could have taken. I know a member of the Welsh coaching staff thinks he is the new Bale but better, but I would hold back on the excitement for a while yet personally.}

Hi Eds, you'll hopefully forgive my memory here as I'm getting a little old, but do you know if we held any talks for the young lad Hughes (there's the memory bit, think it was Hughes from Derby. maybe). He was being discussed on here as the infamous 'Gerard replacement' and is highly regarded and I wondered if you had any info as to whether we talked to his club or agent or if you think we may.

Many thanks {Ed002's Note - Liverpool have shown interest but at the valuation the club put on the kid it won't be an easy deal to get done.}

Great result today, not too shabby for a decrepit and inept midfield! ;-)

Hi Eds and Reds, not so much banter but more of a request for info and help please.

I live in Suffolk and would love to go to the Norwich v LFC game but just don't know how to get tickets. Can anyone help please?!

Many thanks in advance

Bryan

Ps wishful thinking I know but ideally I'd love 3 so I could take my kids but anything less is still very, very cool!

I think things need to be put into perspective following yesterday's defeat. But firstly, I want to compliment Mignolet on an outstanding attitude. The guys interview is excellent and I just love hearing from winners with determination to do better.

As for yesterday, a wee bit of perspective may be called for. We have started the season well and very much improved on last year but we are not realistically in a position with our current squad to win the league just yet. So after 10 games we sit 3rd with a chance of 4th place after today's games. Not too bad I feel.

We arguably outplayed Arsenal for the first part of the game and they scored against the run of play. That changed things which is no surprise. Up until then our pressing game was fantastic but when you then lose a goal it deflates teams and, against very good teams like Arsenal, it is not so easy to regain the momentum as they then attack so much.

Things are very obviously going in the right direction and, as I said, the comparison with last year is immense. We can all criticise tactics, players, manager etc. but like all games the first goal changes things and Arsenal are playing the best football in the PL at the moment so all is not a disaster. As for the passing, Wenger has been training his players for donkey's years to play this way, this is our second season so for those out there saying we are a disgrace to be out passed by them and our players are terrible, get a grip people. Rome wasn't created in a day.

Bring on Fulham I say.

A question for the Eds. Do any of you who watch the reserves, U21's etc. have a view of how far away Ryan McLaughlin is away from warranting a start in the first team? I thought Flanno did ok today as it was a big step up but McLaughlin is more of the wing back we need for the way we are playing if he is anywhere near ready.

Many thanks

Bryan {Ed001's Note - for me, he has long been ahead of Flanno as a player, it was a surprise that he didn't get the chance today.}

I'm surprised at the negativity towards Mignolet, I think he's a great buy. Reina was always a loyal servant but the drive and sheer determination not to concede from Mignolet is outstanding.

If he's distribution needs some work then so be it, he is a goalkeeper not outfield player so that can come in time for me.

I just love Mignolet and Toure's drive, it's so refreshing.
