Can someone please tell me what purpose Ian Ayer serves? Everybody knew the price for Willian was 30 mil we agree terms and then do an Aresenal and start haggling meanwhile Spurs nip in and do the business, this was one target I hoped we would get .we need someone who knows what he is doing to sort out these transfers not a nobody like Ayers once again we have lost out on a target that could have taken us to another level

For all the people calling for us to sign players can we please have a reality check.
1. We are not in europe so it is difficult to get the right players .
2.We have tried to sign some players but it has not worked out.
3. Most important we have just taken a £34 mil hit to west ham for carroll & Downing, I think we should be cautious who we buy and get the right people at the right price, the club cannot afford losses like this so keep the faith and be patient
