Hi Ed001, in a post when asked about if Markovic could be world class, you answered along the lines of not under this current coaching setup (apologies if I am wrong), so I was wandering if you think he can develop into a world class player under someone like De Boer. Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - hard to tell as they have only been working the job for a few years, so it is difficult to judge how much progress they make with players over a long period. Hard to tell as Ajax are no longer producing the best players, but is that because of the quality of players they are getting or the quality of the coaching?}

Hi a question for Ed001 if he is around. i'm not sure if this is a field you have much information about but I was wandering if LFC or any clubs have had any British born Asian players within their ranks? I ask this because it seems even with such a high population of them there hasn't been any that have 'made it' as such. Of course it could simply be the fact that they are simply not good enough but I find it hard to believe. What's your opinion on it to the fellow posters.

{Ed002's Note - There have been quite a few who have done OK - off the top of my head Chopra, Phil Younhusband (and his brother whose name I forget), Rehman.}

A question for Ed001 if you are around. I was wandering if you knew about an U21 goalkeeper of LFC named Yusuf Mersin. If so do you think he has a future with LFC? I am intrigued because he used study at a school next door to mine! Thank you

{Ed001's Note - goalkeeper is a difficult position, it is going to be very tough for him to make it. Right now he is fighting for an U21 spot, but he is getting there and is only 19, so he has time on his side. It is just such a specialist position, with so few places to fight over, that it is the hardest position to break through in. I don't see him having that outstanding belief in himself that a keeper needs, so I am not convinced he will make it with us. Hopefully he will prove me wrong.}
