Hi eds, just want to know your opinions on Rodgers comments on Baloteli.Dont get me wrong, his attitude and application have not being good enough for the most part this season but in the last 3 games he's being the difference for us.Its one of the worst pieces of man management you are ever likely to see and for me two things are obvious in this, (1)he's actually totally wrong because he did work after the pen and actually made a good interception in his own box near the end and(2)it strikes me as "my own man Rodgers" said to himself I better get back into the good boys camp here i.e. Gerrard and Henderson and slate him after initially backing him the day before.Another pathetic and embarrassing interview from the manager of Liverpool football club!

Hi Eds, just wondering have you heard the latest quotes from Rodgers tonight? He talks about the 3-4-3 formation saying"if it was a foreign coach that came up with it they would be calling him a tactical genius" I'm finally coming around to the thinking the man has lost the plot and it's about time he shuts his mouth because it's embarrassing for the club and especially with the position we are in, sounding like a poor mans Mourhino!

{Ed001's Note - that is an embarrassing quote, though I would like to see the whole conversation first to see if it is taken out of context.}

Have always had mixed feelings about Balotelli but for talent alone it think the deal is a no brainier.The market today is just crazy and if you look at Long 12 million and Mc Cormack 11 million joining a championship team then it could be an absolute steal.I have seen Shane Long play many times for Ireland and he's a great lad who gives 100% every game but he's not going to produce that bit of genius in a tight game with ten minutes to go but Balotelli can, this is why I'd go for the maverick every time especially for that money.Its also a far better option than signing someone on loan for an absurd amount of money who will only end up at Madrid after a year anyway.

Bad day at the office yesterday lads but we must keep the faith, have a feeling there is one more twist to come hopefully in our favour.Anyway reading an interview over here in Ireland with Roy Keane who was saying that a lot of the blame with the first goal must go to the two centre halves yesterday.He reckons that when you play that system the two centre backs must always be ready to react to a slip or a mistake like Stevie's and not get too far ahead of the deep lying midfielder.I have to say when watching us play when Stevie has the ball in that position the nerves jangle especially with our back 4 pushed up so far.Keane also backed Stevie to come back as good as ever and said"that can happen to anybody but he's a top top player", wonder who he's getting at there?

Let's give the skipper the day he deserves today, the greatest red I have ever seen grace the precious turf of anfield. let's hope that Saurez takes it all in and and sees how a real legend of this football club conducts himself and how much love the fans of our great club have for our true legends.Keep up the good work eds, great site.

Am I right in saying Souness actuall signed Stewart while turning down the chance of signing Roy Keane Ed??

IRISH KENNY7

{Ed001's Note - if I remember rightly no. Dalglish was going to sign him for Blackburn but, even though he had verbally agreed a deal and shaken on it, he then went back on his word and signed for Man Utd. Maybe that is what you are thinking of? I don't remember us turning him down in the Souness era. We might have turned him down when he was a youngster after a trial, I seem to remember him saying that once, but that would have been before Souness anyway, even if my memory is correct about that.}
