If we don't manage to add to the squad by the time the window closes it will be very disappointing! We had a real opportunity to push on from last year and make a solid challenge for the top 4, but currently, with this squad I don't think we will be able to. Essentially we have not added to the squad, we have only replaced players with a similar standard, with the exception of aspas, who already looks more effective than downing. All we need is 2 of sturridge, Suarez, countinho or Gerrard to be injured at the same time and we would be in trouble! Our squad depth is not enough in real quality! If one of those 4 are injured we don't have players to step in! Ibe and sterling will be great players, but they are still boys, who are not ready for week in week out football! Plus we have all seen how too many games too early can lead to continuous injurys. Brendan talked about adding another 20 goals to the team, in no way has this been done! What's worse is that Brendan is the man FSG wanted, but they have not backed him anything like they did with kenny! there's still a while left in the window, so here's hoping. {Ed001's Note - Ibe and Sterling are only needed for injury cover, in case 2 of those 4 are injured, for example. So I don't see why you are referring to them not being ready for week in week out football. They are part of our squad depth, along with players such as Kelly, Allen, Borini, Luis Alberto etc. None of them need to be ready to play every week, all they need to do is be ready to step in, and if they get a chance, to take it with both hands.}
