Do the Eds see us going for Hernanes? And where do you see us using him? I would reckon he would be offered a starting role. Holding role with Henderson/ Milner/ Can playing on either side? Whatever I have seen, he doesn't look like a great distributor. More a driver

First time poster here. I just know that everybody here is furious that Lucas seems to be hounded out of the club. I think it has been quite clear for some time that BR doesn't quite fancy using a defensive midfielder. Yes, we had our best spell last year with Lucas in the side but we weren't necessarily creating an awful lot. Agree or disagree, that is his philosophy and hence Kovacic. I still believe we can compete with this side if we replace Skrtel and Migs. They are the two who prevent us from playing that high line. Unfortunately, without Skrtel, we just look very very average at set pieces, irrespective of what you think of how he defends those. I just hope we buy one mobile striker and use Illori. And please no more midfielders. We have Coutinho, Markovic, Ibe and Lallana for two positions. And this is assuming Sterling leaves and Tex goes out on loan. Also would like to see us defending with a proper back four even if we have a RB and LB out of the academy. They will surely defend well

Red, we have been saying that no more mds need since last season and YET we are getting one in we don`t need and sending one out we DO need. This is not a question about agreeing or disagreeing. It is a question of logical reasoning. How can we sell lucas who is a DM and replace him with Allen who is inferior to him or with Kova who is not a DM? Where does that leave Can? You mentioned the issues we had and i agree especially, in the forward line where a top striker is needed. But we continue to address the wrong positions on the field because BR is obssessed with mids. We played seven mids vs Stoke and how did that turn out? Like I said, we are continueing to see the same recurrent mistakes and the owners still endorsed this failure of a manager that they have admitted they don`t trust. The owners will be the ones to blame when this ends in sobs because based on what we are seeing, it will.
