Just seen on the LFC website that there is a rumour saying we are intreasted in Will Hughes. Any truth in it and is he really that special?

I think personally too many people are looking at building up our team as a race instead of what it actually is, which is a marathon. Too many people wanting us to sign some 25+ million superstar which isn't going to happen because A) the money might not be there for one player and B) we don't have CL football. Yes we do have money to improve the squad but that amount is not in the same region as other clubs so that money needs to be spent correctly, which now it is. So have some faith.

The CL is out of reach this season and I think we need to face facts, we should be aiming for it but the Europa League would do nicely.

BR has come into the job having to build a squad from the ground up and three transfer windows with a modest amount of money isn't enough time to do so. The improvements that have been made by BR through signings and implementing his philosophy are clear to see, so maybe the squad we have to for is a good foundation for us to push for top 4 and if not its a foundation to build on for next season.

Eds a lot of names have been thrown and linked with Liverpool throughout this window, and a lot of positions have been mentioned that need to be strengthened. And I do believe that BR is trying to get new faces in but I was just wondering do you guys think anyone else will be coming in? I understand there is still a couple of weeks but should we start just looking forward to the new season instead of worrying about more new faces?

Hey Eds

Do you see Liverpool making any so called "marquee" signings (houslehold names) or do you see br opting for less known but equally talanted players i.e Aspas or Alberto?

The reason I ask is without CL it will be hard to attract massive names without spending big money, which we may have but shouldn't spend on big player.What do you guys think, should we chase big names or what?

Have you got any ideas in the sort of players we should be aiming for? {Ed002's Note - Obviously it is impossible to say who people have heard of and who they haven't heard of - I was surprised so few knew who Mkhitaryan is. If Cissokho is a household name, then expect to be pleased.}
