I don't normally listen to the advice of Trevor Francis, but ladt night he said that our players aren't exactly world class and would no boubt have a better understanding of what was expected of them if Rogers kept it 4-4-2.

Simon Mignolet is the only Liverpool player who knows what position he'll be playing in!

Some improvement today. morenos crosses actually looked like crosses and Sturridge is getting fitter. ings looks like he's determined to give 100 % every game he gets picked for and Lucas is back to his play breaking up best. Clyne looks the part and our shape (two strikers) actually made some sense. But our defence is still shaky (Sakho being bossed like that in the air???) and our bench was not the strongest. A step forward yes, but Aston Villa are are poor side who almost got a draw. So not a huge step forward IMO

Hey guys. Long time lurker but have never posted before. Just wanted to give my thoughts on the US tour overall. Aside from some slick passing at times, the goal threat from us has been glaringly missing in my opinion. This isn't a "Suarez has gone, the sky is falling down!" Panic post, but you can count the amount of times we have tested the opposition keepers on one (maybe two) hands.
Where the goals come from this season remains to be seen, but there simply haven't been enough shots. I know its pre-season, but we can't still be switching off at the back (like last night and last season) and not be a force going forwards. Still a few weeks to go, but it's never nice to lose to United, especially when they were so ordinary for so long!
i'd like to see more of an end product in the last few games, whether it be new faces or the young boys stepping up. SHOOT! :)
