After watching the last few games I think we are missing that aggressive mindset with our runs in behind. Too many players coming short too feet we need options for the man with possession. I am a believer in the run dictating the pass if most are coming short it condenses the game. The passes have to be quick and accurate to play this way which is fine for some of our players. But it is no surprise that we have struggled for goals since studge has been out because he is the one to look to get in behind. Hopefully he is back soon and fit he will make a big difference too us.

Its the players we have right now, they aren't good enough and the squad is imbalanced.

Origi, even though i have only seen him play a few times, really doesn't look good enough. In any way. I don't know what he
did at all in the first half today. Honestly i hate saying that about players, i always try to give them all a chance, but that is my gut feeling with this kid.

Milner is a huge dissapointment, a liability and watching him now you would have no idea how he stayed at city for that long. No idea what he contributes.

Lallana is just joe allen with another ten touches and more annoying cruyff turns. can't remember the last time he passed the ball forwards or made a penetrating run or through ball. Again, needs to take the game by the scruff of the neck and if he doesn't have the balls to do that he needs to go.

Coutinho looks cream crackered and finally people seem to see his limitations- he ain't that great. He's at his best when he isn't the only bloody good player in the team and takes the responsibility off himself which helps him relax - otherwise he tries to hard and gets cocky, which doesn't help anybody.

Emre can is an odd one as he seems to do two things great and then two things bad. You'd say drop him but the whole team is injured or just plain terrible but honestly he just needs coaching and time.

Moreno is pretty much the same as can, puta in a great challenge or interception but then gets caught out of position or sleeping on a set piece. Again nobody to drop him for.

Clyne started well but like moreno is making more and more mistakes.

Everything that's been said about mignolet and skrtel has already been said. Not good enough.

So we're left literally with 3 players who are playing well and contribute enough to justify a spot - Sakho, Lucas and benteke.

Its a nightmare for the manager and the fans and their is nothing we can do - really don't know how we will get out of this either.

I think you should put the same amount of effort in finding the good in each players. This is the team we have, just support and back them until January at-least!
You can see how low on confidence our team is at, and this constant criticism, not only from you but most people on here is not helping anyone.

thought Lucas played really well today, but got a bit nervous when he was constantly marking a much taller man at corners, and we do seem to concede lots, then he was way out of position when defending that free kick, also milner had no need to make such a silly foul,
you prob saw Klopp talking to Lucas right after the final whistle . still Lucas is one of about four players who are keeping the side going, thru this tough time .

Sorry, but I think I have to disagree.

For me, Milner was one of the players whom for me really stood out in the game. He was involved in the attacks, as well as defending. He made few decent passes, and the one that lead to the goal, for me, was sublime.

I also thought that Skrtel was quite ok. His positioning was quite poor during some of the crucial times, but overall ok for me.

I just love Moreno. I love his runs, his passes, and that sweet left foot. Some of his shots, yeah it weren't even on goal, but full of power.

What I saw was just positive. I might be wrong. Plus, I watched the game via live tv, so I do admit that somehow my perspectives are limited to where the cameras brought me. I don't have much knowledge in football as well, nor analyzing games.

I liked what I ve been seeing in these 3 games.

Mate i don't claim to be a god at football knowledge either, and i watched on tv too. i'm just stating my opinion and gut feeling.

Honestly i think it is time that some of the players need to just get a bloody grip. Some of them, i'm thinking lallana, sturridge, can, coutinho, firmino etc, have all had plenty of chances and have had every excuse in the book made for them.

Played out of position, had a bad run of injuries, settling in, not got the rub of the green, got unlucky, low on confidence, and of course, the classic, 'had a few good touches and looked good in possession'.

Enough with the excuses. Its just time for some of these players to actually do something. Anything. Anything at all. Anything other than either constantly moan about minor injuries, sulk on the pitch, or not take responsibility and just pass the ball sideways and backwards or just give it back to the opposition.

Theyre good players, they can do it, we've seen it before, else we wouldn't have bought them. They just need to grow a pair, pull their finger out, take some responsibility and contribute to the side. Obviously the whole team will be low on confidence and such right now. But how far is it until you say that some of them just don't have, dare i say it, the character to play for lfc? If you're going to come here and hide, don't come at all.

I will support the team through thick and thin and want all of these boys to do well, i'd love them to succeed. But when you reach a point whereby men in their late twenties, with international experience, can't even be arsed to pass the ball forwards or put in a cross that gets past the first man, then i'm sorry, but you aren't what we need. I don't want to get rid of players, i want them to stand up and deliver and improve. All the best players do it, they never had it easy. And its very frustrating when they dont.

Milner really stood out?
LMAO. U should look at number of touches, pass accuracy, tackles, interceptions etc etc in last 3 games. Never thought highly of him and never will. Top players COMMAND a starting place for their international sides, unfortunately we don't have those type of players (Kuyt, Agger, Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano, Suarez etc)
What we have is guys who get chosen for meaningless friendlies . Coutinho is supposedly our best player, when was the last time LFC's best player (s) could not get into their national side?

7.) 26 Oct 2015 05:17:51
Milner is absolutely mediocre. If he was only good enough to come off the bench for City as a winger, why should he be starting for us? And certainly not our vice-captain in central midfield.

Milner is also to blame for Southampton's goal. Ridiculous defending and challenge. Poor all around.

He runs a lot. That's pretty much it. He should be a fresh pair of legs off the bench at the 75th minute. No more starting.

Thanks AW for the reply. Just stating my opinion on the game. I do agree with you when you wrote about confidence.

Klopp of the Kop. Appreciate your reply. Those are facts, won't deny it. I don't have the figures of the stats. But I really like what I've been seeing so far, and regardless, I still think the same.

Fear, if Milner is to be blamed for the Saints' goal, then who should be credited for Benteke's?

All in all, just sharing my opinions. Thanks guys.

Good afternoon reds and Eds
Sorry to say but absolutely gutted with that performance yesterday. We showed no ambition to take anything from the game.It was simply a matter of time before they broke us down either by our own mistakes or by simply surrendering possession far too deep in our own half.Rodgers simply flys by the seat of his pants in terms of tactics and formations.I find it hard to believe no one in a position of power at the club can see through him and realise he is way out of his depth. He needs to go for his own good as well as ours.I like many others had hoped the change in coaching staff may have helped and do believe they are good coaches. From what I see we are caught in the pull of going down the plug hole we need to stem the flow. This post is not just about a poor result but is mainly about the direction in which we are heading.I am not looking to the past and thinking that is where we deserve to be,but am trying to look to the future and struggling to see the direction we are heading.
