Reading your post Nevada, brought me right back to 2005 when I got a phone call from my friend that Stevie G is on the way to Chelsea! I remember the hurt I felt, the way my heart sank.

He would have gone if he hadn't chickened out in the end. and it still hurts. particularly with the rivaly we had with Chelsea at the time.

I've never fully forgiven him either tbh

I just want to say, its about time the FA 'strengthens' retrospective action on incidents.

I really hope we see the end of dangerous tackles and violent behaviour being unpunished by the FA just because 'the ref saw the incident and didn't take any action at the time'

We shall see.

I'm all for getting Mkhitaryan (if we still can) but this hype around him reminds me of last year with Gaston Ramirez (I got caught up in the hype aswell tbh)

but, I think a lot of us need to calm down a bit and realise that we are going about things quietly. Tbh, this strike business seems a bit flakey to me.

This is not a critism of anyone, but more a reminder that we are building a good squad. Yes, it doesn't seem that we are signing the 'big name signings' but so what?

The second half of last season should show us that Brendan is building a team to play his way and he is getting the correct players to fit the system.

One thing I never understand is the automatic 'replacement of players with new players coming in' type of attitude by some on here.

Why does it have to be this way? Surely we need a good squad, not just a good first 11.

We all saw how well we performed in the latter part of the season just gone. But as Ed052 said {I think} and as other have pointed out. when you looked at our bench last season it was seriously lacking in game changers, players that we could have brought on to change the whole dynamic of a game that is a stalemate.

But now, I think that we are getting to that point. For example, Aspas doesn't have to be a replacement for Downing. they fight for the position. and now we have 2 left wingers so to speak

Or. Alberto with say Sterling {as it seems that Assaldi is on his way out}

Even when it comes to Reina and Mignolet. I hope Pepe stays at it will only benefit LFC to have these 2 fighting to be between the sticks. AND we will also have 2 of the best keepers in the PL. prob 2 out of the best 56 GK's in the league imo!

No way should Henderson leave! Be it Mkhitaryan, Eriksen or whoever comes in! {I'm not going to go into why, as posters have already done that to some detail}

Ovbiously Kolo is the replacement for JC and if Luis leaves then he may just need replacing also

But as for the rest I mentioned, I'm glad we're building a 'squad' beacause one thing we've surely missed before now. Options

Any interest in a left back eds I don't know if Enrique is good enough I mean I like him but he's not great. {Ed002's Note - If he is not good enough he needs to be moved on. Disposed of like a used condom. }
