Wilshere seems to play well in all red - as opposed to red and white - and is linking up well with Henderson and Lallana. Any chance a Wilshere + £ for Sterling deal could be arranged. Would Arsenal be willing to part ways?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has shown no interest. And whoever plays well in the next game Liverpool has shown no interest in.}

I apologize if it seemed like one of those so-and-so played well let's make a move for him post. Wilshere is a player who as you know showed loads of potential 4 years ago and hasn't really developed. I've long thought he could use a change of scenery and I thought perhaps Liverpool would be a good move for him with Gerrard leaving. Henderson's work ethic could allow for Wilshere to roam more creatively. Could be good for county too, not that BR or the committee is worried about that. Thanks for the response

We'd need some more physios and a bigger medical centre if we signed him.

{Ed001's Note - and babysitters, the guy is a complete tool and nothing but trouble.}

For the last time. We need strikers not midfielders. Any swap deal for sterling should include walcott or sanchez (never going to happen of course) or just cash.

We don't need a replacement for gerrard, his influence waned as soon as he hit 30, as he is an attacking midfielder and nothing more.

The mantle of talisman was passed to suarez as soon as he joined, but nostalgia seems to be blinding people's view as to what the real problem is- there is still no replacement for suarez, nithing to do with gerrard.

Just because we are buying players for the future doesn't mean we aren't going to eventually buy players for the future too. Just be patient and let the window play out.

We need these players for the future. I believe Liverpool want to base themself off of the Chelsea model. Buy young talent, nurture, and either keep or sell for large profit.
All wishful thinking of course

Here was the latest update on Mitrovic I could find. It even includes a player profile. If something had changed regarding our interest in him, I'm sure the Eds would let us know.

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Anderlecht's Aleksandar Mitrović from Borussia Monchengladbach, Manchester United, Swansea, Dortmund, Newcastle and Eintracht Frankfurt. The interest of Leicester and Bayern Munich seems to have gone, but Arsenal may just look again at the player - depending on which direction they wish to go given their first choice as opted to moved elsewhere. The interest from Manchester United is recent and ramping up I am told. Newcastle are likely not an option.

I think he would be a good fit for Liverpool, but there is no interest right now. Aleksandar Mitrović offers everything Liverpool are missing - he is young, strong, fit, good in the air and he scores goals. In a way he is like a traditional centre forward. Unlike Manquillo, Moreno, Sakho and Gerrard, he speaks fluent English. People who have met him have said he is likeable and is reliable and will do what he is told. He would also likely slot straight in to the first team squad. Lambert perhaps at his best and 10 years ago or so would be the closest Liverpool have. }

{Ed002's Note - The only thing to have changed is that Newcastle are again an option as are Benfica.}
