it seems a lot of people got very hot under the collar about my comments about lfc not going for mata yesterday evening, the point I was trying to make was. look at it this way, to win the league these days you have to spend money, look at the teams above us. city, chelsea, arsenal. one of these is probably going to win the league, one of the obvious reasons why is because they spent astronomical amounts of money on players, i.e. arsenal 40 mill+ on ozil, and look where they are, top of the league! don't get me wrong i'm delighted with the way things are going with our club, but I just feel that in order to win big in todays football, you have to spend big.

eds, I simply cannot understand why we haven't gone for juan mata, in my eyes it would be 40 million very well spent. the man is a genius! why don't we go for these high profile players when they are made available? its things like this that are the reason we aren't properly contending for the league, we haven't beaten any of the teams above us yet this season because we don't have that quality to get that all important goal in the big games so far, players like him provide that quality and were not going for them, instead we are going for the cheap options like aspas and luis alberto (who hasn't even seen the firsst team yet in the league this season) I just don't get it lads, I just don't get it!!
