Sean O'Driscoll??? look at his record:

"Started managerial career at Bournemouth in 2000, leading them to one relegation and one promotion
Took over Championship side Bristol City at the start of 2013 but left with the club bottom of League One in November
Was named England Under-19 boss in September but failed to get them into the European Championship"

Inspired choice Brendan! Just hope you see something I don't!

{Ed001's Note - try reading up on him, he is one of the few coaches in England worth getting involved: http://www.football-news-views.co.uk/football-news-583-could-liverpool-have-got-the-right-man-at-the-right-time.php

Dont just gloss over the facts of what you're speaking about and come on here speaking all that nonsense milts. Look at his record? Ok let's look at it.
Did he not manage anyone between Bournemouth and Bristol?
On Bournemouth he worked on a shoestring budget and managed to achieve a promotion.
After this he went to Doncaster Rovers. Once again he probably had the smallest budget to work with of all of the teams he was competing with, but got them promoted to the Championship. He continued his good work and even established them in the Championship and remained in it despite being plagued by injuries to the extent which saw them having to ask to postpone a match because they could not field a team.
And when he took over Bristol City they were already marooned at the bottom of the table and he almost saved them from relegation.
With the England u-19 he was in charge for 7 games. He won 6 out of the 7 only losing to France by 1 goal in an away game that meant they failed to qualify for the final tournament.
What a terrible guy.

Just sounds like the kind of spiel that was going on a couple of seasons ago about steve peters, fat lot of good he did last season!! We need proven quality on the coaching staff not a best friend!

To be fair you should forget all the promotions and relegations.

You need to look at his work with individuals, as that's his job now. He's not going to be judged on results etc.

Billy sharp rejected better offers when he was hot property to go work with Sean and Doncaster. So that's says a lot for what we need him for. Working with players, being the buffer for Brendan, helping someone like Ibe better his game.

He isn't involved in budgets, sigings or tactics etc so why judge him on his previous record.
